Empire Of Snow Very little wind or drier airmass to break up the cloud this afternoon+ the sun is weaker now.

It can be frustrating and the same applies with spring sometimes.

What a grey dull day today at the coast, very little wind, and just all over thick featureless cloud.

What is quite remarkable is the lack of diurnal change in the temperatures, since Friday evening temperature has been 11C +- 1C with no noticable drop at night or rise during daylight

Todays weather... Groundhog day

Lunchtime ride started in almost calm conditions, and then a slight SE breze, force 1 established itself. Guess what, 11C and heavy cloud.

mike57 Another beautiful day on the east coast lol.

It's going to feel bitterly cold once this very mild or mild spell does eventually shift.

Even at a maximum of +8c in a moderate north westerly wind.

Time to head south to Cape Verde kind sir 😼🌞

Yup another grey day to enjoy. A max of 9.9C today so a long way from being mild. I'm beginning to wonder if a temperature inversion is beginning to form. Max temps have gone down by 4 degrees from the 1st.

I want to see the sky again. 'Anticyclonic gloom' is what this is called apparently - caused by high pressure trapping all the moisture down near the ground. Hopefully should break up when the cold front comes over on Sunday.

Sadly the forecast return of the Unidentified flying object called the sun which hasn't been seen the 1st here is going to very brief as the cloud is forecast to return during Wednesday.

A much better day today.

Lunchtime ride brought a fresh NW wind, force 4-5, with clear skies and sunshine, temperature 11C after a much colder start than of late. Overall quite pleasant for mid November

Just signed in for the first time since last winter, hope everyone is well!

Looks like the first meaningful cold spell is on the way and quite rare this early in the season. Might be a few flakes of sleet/snow for some, who knows maybe even some accumulations. As always high ground will be the place to be.

Today was another decent day for mid November

Lunchtime ride brought lighter winds but more cloud than yesterday, although still with sunny intervals

Wind Force 3 NNE, temps 11C

Looks like I will need my cold weather gear next week.

Lovely day today and 2nd warmest of the month at 13.2C. More interesting is next Monday night into Tuesday morning chance of some snow before it turns to rain and then some back edge snow as it clears in South Yorkshire. A bigger possibility of Snow In N Yorkshire which could stay as Snow. Of course the low may track much further south or north so plenty of time for details to firm up.

I just can't get excited about this upcoming cold spell. Probably too many let downs....

Can see heights around Greenland gradually been eroded then the Azores high ridging towards us with lows going over the top for another crap breakdown.

I'm liking the strat profile though.
