06z ECMWF showing sleet/snow showers spreading southeast from the Cheshire Gap all the way to SE England early tomorrow morning. Other models not so enthusiastic, be interesting to see if any showers make it, last chance saloon for #snow down here from this cold spell.

Been keeping an eye on the forecasted showers moving in through the Cheshire gap. Models have been inconsistent with this over the past few days with regards to how far SE they will extend. Having said this the current radar suggests these showers are more widespread and further inland than the models predicted.

Today has been a lovely sunny, bitter day with frost remaining in the shade.

Alexa has just pinged to warn of snow showers between 6 - 7am tomorrow morning here in the Nutfield/Redhill area. 10 year is super excited, I’ve tried to tell him not to build up his hopes just in case 😂

Needs a big up tic inflow of showers moving into our region from NW midlands.
Showers dying out quickly, a shame as last chance saloon during this cold spell.

I feel like this cold spell was made worse by the fact there was rain, most cold spells in winter are normally dry at least down this way. Currently -1c but suppose to rise during the night.

Well there have been a couple of showers here.. entirely of rain and it has frozen everywhere they landed. Fair to say I am not bothering with an early morning walk today (not worth the risk of slipping over).

A light dusting here in MK - it’s  not really enough to get excited about but at least we are seeing the white stuff - hopefully a good sign for the coming winter months ⛄

Woke up to a light dusting here in North Essex. Gutted I didn't get to see falling snow and hope that's not it for winter.

The calm before the storm, not that we are in the line fire much in South Woodham. But I know the skies will not be this blue tomorrow.

I made the most of the sunny day for a walk to the creek. I hope I'll see a snowy view here soon.

Report from Hopton, early this morning there was a thin snow topping on the bin, then it started raining, now the occassional gust of wind, strong enough to rattle windows and the odd flake of something mixed with the rain, very very dark and ominous black clouds.
