I did go the hospital this morning, considered going in wheelchair but was worried it would blow around uncontrollably, so took double arm crutches, but coming back, outside the hospital there is a bit of a wind tunnel, got blown into a post and combination of being weak and wind blowing, couldn't take a step till a nice young man took my arm and helped me, so kind.😀

JennyJane1 oh how awful for you a trip to hospital in such grotty weather.  Possibly being held by a nice young man is the best treatment you could get.  🙂

Don Hull yes, lol i was in two minds to just not go but it was a two hour consultation and it would have just caused a delay if i didnt go, but yes what a ghastly day to go.

JennyJane1 unfortunately my trip to hospital yesterday didn’t involve any nice young lady. Although the consultant is nice enough.

That low pressure ( sorry Eowyn) managed a 30mph gust here today. Yellow warning totally unnecessary. Which is probably why the Meto cancelled it before it even started

Yea cold rain and a few gusts and that was that  imby

.Sunday  like I said  could be worse for us here but its a a perturbation  more than a short wave but could lift your bins  more than storm E , models  haven't quite sussed it yet but a little of this and that will still blast us or go down with a damp squib ...sorry about weather online maps it's just habit

Before we all get too comfortable, the next system is gathering for Monday afternoon. It looks to me as though it's going to be fairly unpleasant from the predictions (fax charts particularly telling) and yet it is (as yet) unnamed. Surely it will be?

This low, Herminia,  has been named by AEMET, the Spanish Met. Service who are in a different naming group, hence H not F.

A lovely morning yesterday, lots of people up and out for seafront walks.

The sun is still so low in the sky, this was taken around 10am

Wind and rain appears to have arrived. Few notable gusts occasionally but not so bad. Could be worse so I'll take it as a win

One of the worst/grim winters for many many years, hardly any sun and lots of cloud.  Today 2pm feels like 7pm!

Sick of it 😞

Watch out for this nasty little low heading up from the channel tonight. I fear it could catch many out. Potential 80mph gusts for a couple of hours.

East_England_Stormchaser91 Interesting that this possibility is shown by some models (notably GFS) but discounted by others (ICON). It’s only a few hours away!

IanT Exactly how 87’ caught everything out! A very fast developing pinhole situation.  I heard of stories that it was more or less calm as soon as the sun came up, just 3-4 hours of total devastation between 00:00 and 04:00.

Well wind was up at first, but then calmed, are we in the centre of something, that's how it feels. thought the low was to our west, are there two?
