Had a brief shower here just and the sunshine was out straightaway to give me this double rainbow ….it is there, but not as clear in this snapshot as what my eyes can see…..love a rainbow me

Missed the shower here, but went dark..

Expecting rain by morning. although we could be in the  rain shadow from S Wales.

Rainfall up to 70mms for the month after another 7 mms overnight.

Looks like good news as I am  at 69.9mms.

You seem to be in a good position for the CET in the comp, but my chances are a bit better in the EWP.

Could be make  or break this month?.

With plenty of potential heights focused over the UK….Fog and frosty conditions could be in order, but if them heights regress Westwards….colder conditions could topple in from the North …..but as always, we’ll see

I was watching the forecast Tuesday evening for weds morning, with foggy condition’s hightailing the forecast, with them saying 100m visibility is expected,

it just made me laugh…. 

I remember back in the days, when you couldn’t see 10ft in front of ya,  the 80s of course

Wasn't this supposed to be a dry week? Drizzle sgain all morning after rain for much of yesterday and overnight.

Drizzle here at first this morning but it was dry by 0930 and an hour later the cloud had broken and cleared to allow sunny periods so it seems the weather got better as you travelled east.

My total rainfall readings for October is 78mm, I can see it staying at that now.

November, well I can see it being dry dry dry for the first 3 weeks, the last week ?

Then guess what ……it’s the start of Winter…..

 Dancerwithwings C'mon DWW, give me SNOW this year...! A proper old fashioned Midlands dumping, caught between two airmasses, loads o' lovely SNOW....!  

I'm working away down in Herts this week...warm, cloudy, damp. Bloomin' awful, in other words. I used to live down in Hemel Hempstead years ago (last century!), it was always like that then...apart from when it was stinking hot. Back then, I could take the heat...

Nothing of any great interest in the forecasts atm, I think?

Can i just say….

This weather is absolute a*rse. That high is barely going anywhere either, keeping southern Europe sodden whilst we get a constant feed of cloud.

Would in some ways rather it was raining, its twilight all day!

Yes I agree….grey leaded skies aren’t the best
But after all that record breaking rain we had in September, I’m sure most are just enjoying the break from all them soggy conditions 

Anyway….not long now, where we’ll be probing the Models for cold and snow
