You can also see some of the patterns on the paint dripping down which, in itself, makes it more entertaining than the changeless clouds.

Hi @Dancerwithwings - just a bit like the snow at the moment. Not coming around for as many visits as I used to, but still pop around for the occasional surprise 😉 (also dealing with mental health stuff)

Definitely struggling with SAD now. Little motivation to do anything and that's becoming fairly apparent in my job as well. I wish I could afford to work 6 months of the year (apr-oct)...although I'd be complaining about being stuck indoors during nice weather 😂

Thought it'd be interesting now to check the dullest first half of Novembers on record for here in Coventry, these are the top 5 apparantly:

1912: 10.2 hrs

1941: 11.3 hrs

1901: 11.6 hs

1902: 12.4 hrs

1942: 21.2 hrs

Looks like it's now 6 consecutive days with no sun recorded here.

October - November 1993 had 11 days with no sun in a row. The November record is 12 days in 1897.

With all this greyness, it’s pegging back daytime temperatures.

I’ve maxed out today at 10.3cc….at 16:35 I’m currently at 9.5c

 Dancerwithwings

Yes calm conditions with an inversion. The air near the surface gradually cooling day by day until a breeze picks up.The lack of sun is cooling the inside of the house too.

It will be good to get something to clear this away though as it seems never ending.

I'm not one to generally moan too much other than bonkers heat in the summer and bonkers mild in the winter - actually, scratch that, that must mean that I moan a lot, lol! - but this endless gloom is really bugging me now. I don't suffer from SAD (other than the reverse variety), but by jove, this stuck weather pattern is the very definition of "meh"! Another horrible Bonfire Night, I know that I'm old but I remember this being a cold, clear, frosty night in the good old days...what a climate we have these days.

Hopefully the forecast is right and we all get to see a few days of at least partial sunshine next week because I am absolutely fed up with this eternal gloom

The gloomfest goes on...although it feels a tad chillier out there today, or is that just me...?

Very ready for a pattern change now!

No, I thought it was cold yesterday. First time I really felt that "winter chill"

It’s even colder today in looking at todays temps…..winter chill is about right
