TUE: Last of the snow.
Welcome to my Blog, bringing you my weather observations through North East Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and into the City of York during my daily commute from Melton Mowbray, by car and train.
Tuesday 25th March 2008:
Last of the snow.
Melton Mowbray 06:30hrs 1.3'C
After the snowy Easter break Melton Mowbray awoke to clear skies and sunny spells, if a little on the cool side today.
It was very much similar conditions throughout the commute north to York.
One point of interest was the number of cars heading west from Grantham which appeared to have a thin layer of snow on them this morning and despite the thaw on Sunday and Monday there was still some patches of lying snow in the railway cutting between Newark and Retford.
Temperature at 06:30 was 1.3'C, lowest recorded overnight temperature minus 2.4'C. Pressure at 06:30 was 998 hPa
Tomorrow: Milder with light rain.
