Struggling to lay in Newton Abbot due to soaking ground from previous heavy rain during the day
You got some snow in the end then! lol enjoy

Rain has finally stopped here. Probably start again shortly though. Haha would be lovely to see a few flakes this year, maybe even 2cm, I'm easily pleased.
<y relations in torquay not far from you have seen snow this year, so strange how much of a difference a couple miles make. Keep the faith mate, you never know.

I thought you knew where I lived? I live near Brentor, a mile from Lydford, I do live quite high up but for some reason this side of the moor is always rubbish for snow, though Brentor itself does very well. On Friday there was one foot drifts up there but IMBY we only had an inch. Weirdly down in Bridestowe there was nothing at all
Sorry never looked at the username properly, if i did i would have realised it was you.

Where abouts in Devon are you? Still raining here and not as heavy, really thought I'd get snow here considering I'm quite high up, is very bitter here too, just hoping later it turns to snow, not sure of the chances though. Good luck to everyone further north you lucky things
Would you mind me asking where on Dartmoor you are? I would have thought being 300masl you would have similar conditions to me

Blimey!! Someone from the village said there was a ridiculous amount of traffic!! Been the busiest I have ever seen it in Princetown. The owner of the pub where me, the missus and 2 other friends built our snow family reckons the must be the most photographed snowmen in the country!! Haha!! Here goes, will post again!!
Traffic was a nightmare from here to derriford today. mainly due to people parking their cars in the most stupid areas, a journey that normally takes me 20min took nearly 3 times that long!

Temps have dipped to 2/3 degrees here today so a significant chill compared to yesterday's 6/7.
So I feel a little bit wintry now despite the lack of snow.
Fingers crossed for you for the early hours of Monday, I would love to see padstow harbour in the snow

Happy birthday! Good that you see some snow on your birthday!

Think we might get a nice amount of snow up here, the gritter went through about 15 mins ago and his tracks have already been covered! Hmm might have some transport problems in the morning.

Now snowing on West Dartmoor, started off with a bit of drizzle, then sleet and now snow, even though its light. Winds really picked up and is currently around 2 degrees, lowering by half a degree every hour. Bring it on! !
Whoop whoop! Enjoy dear

i remember 1985, I was five then but always think we are well overdue a winter like that.
I remember the blizzards of the 80's, school closures and epic snowfalls. Loved it. What happened to those?, lol
