0.3C here on the Powys/Shropshire border , very light rain at the moment. My kids are going to be well brassed off if it does'nt snow later tonight. Last Saturday we saw nothing, with both kids playing tennis outside til 2pm. 25 miles down the road the M54 , just beyond Telford , was extremely slow with 1 or 2 inches falling in a couple of hours.

Just when I thought we'd had our share , a small cell develops just west of me , moving NE with heavy rain , CG and couple of clacks....
Dogs are back to jumping round the kitchen and my Koi doing F1 laps around the pond...

Just had a look on the BBC website based on all of you are saying you have storms. Not one of those locations says anything about a storm, or rain even. That website couldn't be more wrong.
found it quite ironic at lunchtime that the telly was flicking like crazy and I could hardly here the BBC weather girl due to the thunder and yet she never mentioned storms - just the occassional 'rumble'.
If they're 'occassional rumbles' then bring it on!!

Think we've had our lot for the time being , loads of black stuff to the East of me seems to be tracking NE sort of Telford , Stoke way ish...if that makes sense.
Breaks in the cloud appearing now and seems to be quiet - dogs have stopped jumping round the kitchen and strangely my Koi have stopped racing around the pond!.

All blue sky and sun at the moment here, but I suspect things will change within the next hour or so.
and yet IOW indicates quite a bit of activity up your way at the moment

I have a sneaky suspicion that the storm that hit S/Wales an hour ago is shearing NE. Looks like there's slight change to the direction. I think its more likely to hit Telford than Mid Wales border.
Could be wrong , I'm far from an 'expert' compared to you guys on here.
Sky looks grey with drizzle to the South of us now.

Well finally heard thunder this year...just need a storm now and that'll do me. Keep me in touch with whats going on your way eh?
The storm is ever so slighty to my east (a few miles) so I reckon its bang on for Wrexham , and there appears to be another one just down by Newtown on the same track.
Moderate rain , 6 good clacks (my dogs are jumping all over the kitchen!) temp 14.5.
Keep you informed of the next one.

Hooray , finally a clack of thunder overhead , in fact 3 so far
Hopefully it'll hold out for carl43wrexham...

Just had a torrential burst , with a huge wave of black stuff (sorry I'm a non techy) coming from the South (Welshpool / Newtown) - rumbles in the distant.
My location - Llanymynech (SY22 6EW)

Snow now the heaviest it's been all day. Radar shows it has stalled over us.
Yep agree , for some reason I thought it would have cleared by mid day but its been small fine flakes all day but now its really going for it. Kids are currently sledging having had today off (Llanfyllin High) and its looking like they'll have another day off tomorrow.
Thought the main roads would be Ok , but A483 is looking tricky in places .

Must congratulate you boys (and girls) on your knowledge , have only just found this forum but its been very interesting reading the different reports.
The Mrs left Ipswich yesterday ay 18:30 and only just made it down the A14 , Cambridge was a whiteout at one point. She saw the usual idiots who obviously thought they had World Rally Cars with spiked tyres , with two facing the wrong way at one point.
Just picked my lad from school trip at 23:20 with temps at -5C in Llanfylin , Powys.
Keep up the good work.
