  1. And while you Northants lot are having all the fun, it's grey grey grey here in Nottingham. But then again, what did you expect? This is the city with absolutely no weather! pardon.gif

    I hope you're sending it northwards... dry.gif

Btw - love the avatar! smile.gif

lol...hey you are welcome to the snow...just measured it in the garden and it comes up as nearly 3 inches!!! and thats just this mornings fall!!!!..it has truly stopped now. I am keeping my fingers crossed thats it for today!!

The avatar!! cute huh!! Archie..the gangsta!!

  2. Nope! The next snow event is down for tomorrow night, but I must admit I am concerned it might turn to rain later in the night and wash away any accumulations. The detail is still being fine tuned though.

Bit of a warmup on Thursday with a lot of rain in the area, but watch for upgrades on Friday which I think could well be the snowiest day of the week if all goes to plan. Oh, and then there's that small matter of Sunday night into Monday.

    What a week! :D

Noooooooooo Waaayyyyyyyyy!!!! its coming down so fast now!!...I hate this now....!! cold.gif

  3. Not meaning to blow my own trumpet or anything but looks like my forecast for Northamptonshire was bang on with Rushden fairing a lot better than northern, central and western parts of the county in terms of accumulations.

We must have about 3cm fresh snow here which isn't a bad result, but in Rushden you can probably double or even triple that.

The NMM called this one very well.

Still snowing away here but the flakes are tiny and there isn't quite as much snow around as yesterday morning.

I cant believe how much white stuff is coming down!!...we seem to have out own mega snow cloud hovering over us....its extraordinary how localised this all is...do you think thats it for the week or shall I get provisions in to last til Easter!! laugh.gif

  4. According to BBC and SKY news weather reports the midlands are experiencing heavy rain..I have at least 4-5cm of snow and it has been snowing for hours!!..am I living in a parallel universe!! rolleyes.gif

The precipitation is getting harder here but still unfortunatley its still fine sleety snow , so no further accumulation , is it still

    snowing heavy in Rushden.

Local radio forecast possible 10 cm of snow througout mroning early afternoon , before it turns more to sleet and rain

    then possible frost tonight.

Then said temps will be upto 8c by wednesday with just heavy rain , i will be surprised if temps get above 4c myself.

I dont think weve seen the end of the snow this week.

Its much finer snow here now..but still coming down heavy and settling on top of the last lot!! wind is picking up too!!...

  5. Had upto 2cm this morning in Banbury.

The main band of Snow has only got as far as J12 of the M40, and beyond that it was mainly just wet this morning.

BBC showed the snow moving east and south, so Birmingham area will miss out this time.

Have seen a few flakes on the M42 though near Solihull.

In North/East Northants where I am....at least 2 inches of snow and no sign of stopping....car and driveway and road completely whitewashed!! cars slipping and sliding all over the place!

  6. Well the more intense stuff went to your north east, the radar made it look as if you had snow for half an hour but quite possible that only 10 mins of that was very noticable.

Yes it was really noticeable, especially if it settles on top of snow already here!!!....looks like it isnt going to subside at all over the weekend!!

Can't wait for lovely warm spring days.......!!
