Is it going to far north for Northampton area ?

well with the snow cover of a couple of inches that we still have in northampton any heavy snow we get this evening will top that up very nicely. would be great to have another good few inches of heavy snow this evening to end this current cold snap with a bang rather than a whimper. Looking forward to window watching this evening, let's hope it's a good one.
Yes am hoping for the same before it melts on Monday

We are under a green area on the latest radar, and nowt is falling from the sky. Never seen that happen with greens, usually experience it from an advancing front under the blues with low dew points. Heck I can still see the moon for gods sake.

I would love to be where you are as the heaviest of the London snow appears to be taking a track between Northampton and Peterborough for this afternoon !
The band seems to hit the snow sheld and fizzles out before it gets to us

There is definitely a major pivot taking place now as the northern element of the snow starts to head west and the southern element swings east and then NW. I think if you are north and east of the midlands then your best chance will be when the south east snow swings out and heads NW this afternoon.
I think that makes sense LOL !
Is that good for Northants Wellingborough as its just light stuff all the time

everyone must be in bed and not expecting a thing, radar would be looking excellent for the midlands if it was just another 50miles north, just need to hope it doesnt grind to a halt quite yet, the main band behind the 1st one seems to be closing the gaps quite rapidly between the two atm, if the first band pushes further north some of the energy from the south could be pushed further north also. Atm its all an outside chance for my area. But for areas that looked like getting snow but werent sure of getting some heavy stuff then it looks very promising.
