Whereabouts in Shrewsbury is this? I'm in Bomere Heath and it settled for a while about 5pm but mostly gone now despite more bits of snow falling and cold enough temps. Very strange weather round here last few days even by Shrewsbury standards!
Small world , I'm also in bomere . Always look on here but rarely post.

Snowing in bomere just north of shrewsbury , strange really as I've just come from work at the base of the Wrekin which is much higher and there was nothing there but rain / drizzle

If it's being forecast , then we can pretty much garuntee that come Wednesday it will all shift in any direction possible and miss us .

Seem to be to far west here in shrewsbury , had a bit of rain in the night and heard a couple of distant rumbles , but that is all .

had approx 3-4cm just north of shrewsbury , turned a bit wet and sleety now

hammering it down for last hour or so with snow in shrewsbury , everything white over , very odd , have been out in a t shirt all day

It certainly was weird, leaving a full snowcover here in Harlescott to find only a smidgen left in Monkmoor, and nothing at all at Meole. This was around 3pm, about 2 hours after it stopped snowing here. It apparently turned to rain and thawed in town while still snowing here too. Thats barely 2 miles away!

barely any snow all day at work just 5 miles west of shrews in hanwood today , just shows how marginal things can be

Freezing rain north of shrewsbury , pavements are lethal

snow finally stopping here now , had a good 4" of fresh snow fall this afternoon , if we had'nt had a slight thaw earlier and a few hours of snow not sticking then we would have some serious totals.
it is also surprising the difference locally , at my work place just 9 miles away there is probably half the depth of snow

Heavy again just north of shrewsbury , about 2 to 3 inches fallen today , roads are awfull , tomorrow will be carnage if this freezes
