It's been mostly very light snow in T.Wells with the occasionally moderate burst for 5 mins or so. Only a light dusting on the ground. It seems most of the heavy stuff went NW of me.
-
Looks like we'll have some sunshine tomorrow at last. However, after that it looks like it's going to be dull, wet and windy once again. I need just a couple of days with clear blue skies.
-
I hope February brings more sunshine to the SE. I don't remember January being quite so dull and boring.
-
I'm definitely suffering with the lack of sunlight recently, more so than ever before. I think I might have to invest in one of those lamps soon if things don't improve.
Looking at the forecasts it looks like this dull and boring weather is going to stay with us for a while longer yet.

Heavy snow here in T.Wells now but nothing showing on the radar.
-
I've just been outside and it's calm with clear skies. That's quite a contrast to the 40mph blizzards forecast earlier... Something must have changed in the last few hours.
-
How much snow have Ashford got now then?
Everytime I look at the radar there seems to be a band of snow sitting over the Ashford area.
Since I brushed the snow off my car this morning there's only been a slight covering, despite it snowing all day long... We've had light snow here with the odd 1 - 2 minute heavy spell.
-
have you been dry most of the day?! It's insane here, 7 inches on the ground now the most snow I've ever seen in this low lying part of the Weald!
Once it hits you you'll deffo know about it - surprised at the difference just a few miles can make.
It's been snowing most of the day here but we haven't had anything really heavy. We've got 7 inches on the ground but about 5 of that was from yesterday.
-
We've got 7 inches / 18 cm here in T.Wells at the moment, if we get another 10-15cm we could have over a foot by tomorrow!

Not a flake here in tunbidge wells anyone think we will get any off the main band ?
I think we might, it seems to be heading more towards the West now.
We'll have to wait and see.

Moderate snow here in T.Wells now. Very odd because when I went out there 5 mins ago it was clear skies!

Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd register to give snow reports from the Sevenoaks area (Otford, North-West Kent to be precise), which seems to be a relative black spot in coverage (although there is a decent amount of posters around the area such as Maidstone, Tonbridge, Tunny Wells and Bexleyheath).
Its clouded over currently, after a lengthy afternoon sunny spell, and I'm expecting some snow in the next half hour to an hour. It seems this blog that's effecting Maidstone and Central Kent is passing just to the west of me due to too much of a Northerly element to the winds, hopefully it can veer more Easterly overnight and we should hopefully receive a decent top-up ontop to the 10cm+ thats lying widely across this area. Currently monitoring that cluster of showers moving down the Essex coastal area for later.
Anyway, cheers, has been a very good winter so far, with four days off school including the spell before Christmas and hopefully it can get even better over the weekend!

Welcome to NW, Kentish Kiki
I'm in T. Wells so I'll be following your updates with interest. I hope we get a good dumping over the weekend.
We've got roughly 13cm here at the moment and the temp is reading -2.5C.
Sadly we missed the last blob of snow which passed just east of us.
-
Snowing heavy here now..and all you south its heading your way....big flakes as well
Where are you?
-
Looks like a beefy snow shower to hit west kent
Is that the one that's gone just east of Ipswich?
-
Snowing quite heavy in T.Wells now.
-
-2C and 13cm now in T Wells.
-
More heavy snow to come here from Maidstone way, going to be over 10cm by the time this lot clears later. Chaos on the roads in the morning as this freezes in the early hours, for those who are brave enough to drive.
Hi Nick,
Do you know much more we're expected to get here?
I just measured it and we've got 4.5 inches so far. I'm in Speldhurst by the way.
-
Still snowing here.
Update from MetO: Severe snowfall approx 1500hrs across London/SE and will head South. Expect 10cm - 20cm
Where did you see that? It's still saying 4-8cm on their website.
-
We got about 4 inches in West Kent, any idea how much more we can expect for later on?
-
Nothing more in West Kent. I don't think we'll get any more here until later this morning but today will definitely be interesting, it looks like it could snow most of the day here!

Heavy snow in Tunbridge Wells now, it's settling on the road already.

Michael Fish is predicting heavy snow for us towards the end of the week with some light/moderate snow for the West of our region tonight/tomorrow.

It seems to be falling more like snow here in Tunbridge Wells, very light at the moment, but certainly looks like snow to me!
