Looking at the radar and it seems to be fizzling out - not sure there will be much left on it.

Heavy grauple/snow shower in gravesend just passed through...another good sign!

Good night all, I'm not wasting another night hoping to see snow in the Medway towns...we've done amazingly well in previous years so can be thankful for that I suppose. I'll keep an eye on the next few days, see if the weather can surprise us!
-
Must be because I think there's a feature coming down from the north with the cold air? I think it's a disturbance coming down the North sea coastal regions.....might see in a few hours what's going to happen?

GFS 12z still showing an easterly of sorts for mid next week - hopefully uppers should be cold enough for a bit of showery stuff.
I don't understand them either! - why just for Essex?
Aren't the warnings for kent/Medway too?
-
Met office seem to have Medway under a weather warning for snow for the next five days from 2pm today....when did that happen??

Yes. Here in Chatham now too
Halling-weather.co.uk has a few point of 1.8
I've just had wet snow and proper snow in the heavier bursts on the Wainscott/Strood border. Didn't expect anything more than rain....
-

Well 2012/2013 was clearly not the winter for proper snow for Medway!!!! We've had heavy snow falls 360 degrees around us....but none over us.....well done Medway snow shield you have earnt your money this year!!.....I'll just look forward to a let down summer like last year to really carry on this years trend!
-
Nothing reaching the ground here at all
Yup Medway shield seems to be up again!
-
How weird - I'm in Strood and my app says light snow where yours says heavy
It shows light snow pretty much all day, but heavy snow at 09:00
-
That looks like snow to me.... Am I just being hopeful??!
Definitely snow in Strood!
-
met office did show heavy snow for midnight in strood , now changed to sleet
I'm giving up!! We won't get anything out of this tonight...... We need our snow to come from the east!
-
-
next to strood rail station
Blimey, elevation is making a huge difference!!
-
Where abouts in Strood are you? It's snow up on broom hill, although not settling yet!
-
Very sleety here on broom hill, more snow than rain in the mix now too....according to Halling Weather
Temp 2.6
Dew 1.5
Both have dropped dramatically in the last half hour or so by the looks of it! So the change is starting....
-
According to Halling Weather which is probably a couple of miles from me, the temp and Dew are now dropping! Woop woop!
-
Anyone posted this yet? See who's under the 10cm or more part?? Midlands, Kent and Essex....interesting 24/48 hours ahead possibly??

Early rain over western Britain is expected to turn to snow as it spreads eastwards during Sunday. Snow cover is likely to be very variable, with some places seeing little settling, others 2-4 cm, and with the potential for 10 cm or more over parts of the Midlands, Kent an Essex, especially later in the day. The public should be aware of the risk of disruption, particularly to travel.
