Had a couple of minutes of light snow just now - all stopped now but was still good to see. The brightness of the morning has been replaced by a very cold looking grey sky - wonder if there will be more to come?

Well, I finally got my storm... although I slept right through it! Unbelievable! According to everyone round here there was torrential rain, thunder and lightning at around 1:30am. The roads were flooded in places this morning, as was part of the school grounds. The stream running past the school was the highest I can remember seeing it even at 3:30 this afternoon. So I guess I'm out of the No Storms Club for this year - and good luck to anyone left here who may yet see something

So.... am I out or in?!! Sunday night I saw two flashes of lightning (approx 1 hour apart), heard a distant rumble, then heavy rain a couple of hours later. If those had all happened together then it would have been a (very small) storm, but now I'm not sure if I can stay in the club or not!

Hi Adamjas , welcome to Netweather
Good luck with any storms, I'm in the same boat as you. If you do pop along to the NSC (which I hope not) You'll find Phil on the door handing out memberships. Hope we don't get to see you there
Thanks to you and Purplepixii for the welcome! Instead of moping about storms I think I'd better make the most of a warm sunny evening and then pop into the NSC later on for a commiseratory G&T. Hampshire's turn will come.... possibly

Evening everyone - time for me to join the club too. Glad others are having great storms today but feeling SO deprived here. Loving the hot weather but want a proper storm!! A distant rumble with no lightning back at the end of June is just not good enough...

Hello, I'm new here and I think it's time for me to join the No Storms Club. So far here in Farnborough I've heard one distant rumble of thunder this year - and that's it. Much as I love the hot sunny weather I would LOVE a proper thunderstorm - and need to convince my 4 year old that they do exist outside of The sound of Music!

Two Hampshire County council vehicles have just delivered and filled a salt bin opposite my house - and this has never happened in the 6 years I've lived here - I'm hoping this is a sign of something exciting to come....
