Goodness - wouldn’t want to be up Kinder in this...mountain rescue might be busy

Don’t post very often - from snow starved NW like us all....but in Tromso this weekend for the polar half marathon and had near foot of snow overnight and it’s still coming down. Thought would post a pic just to remind us all of what this white stuff looks like. I am very lucky as looking at the charts this may be the only snow I see for the foreseeable!

Yep - those of us on the East side of the region think are doing very well.
Here in Marple and toward Glssop we have 6" with more in drifts and sideways snow. Some raods are near impassable

Don’t post often but just had a weekend in Reykjavik. Some blizzard conditions yesterday- will try and post some pics. Hopefully might have our name on next couple of days ?

Moderately heavy snow over here between Hyde and Glossop. Starting to stick. Radar suggests may continue for a while. :-)

Yep , about 2" lying here in Marple Stockport and getting heavier again.
Gridlock trying to get out of the town - one of the two roads out closed by the Police earlier ( normally due to cars sliding down the hill!)

From Stockport there's sheet lightening every few seconds with near continuous rubblesof thunder. Amazing light show

Wet snow after hail here in Marple - elevation only about 200 ft.

Here in Stockport had a few flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder with telly going off for a few seconds - more than perhaps we were expecting

Heavy snow now in Marple, starting to cover - heaviest we've had during this cold spell

travelling from stockport to liverpool in about an hour. Already snowing a bit here with a covering and the satellite suggests could be an interesting journey!

Still coming down here - getting heavier again

Heavy, nr blizzard conditions up here in the hills, main roads still passable. If it doesn't thaw/change back to rain then will be an intersting journey home

Unable to get out of Marple today as roads icey + layer of snow and not gritted. Good 1 1/2 " on car.Brighter but snowing again. We do seem to do well here in east Stockport with this set up. Simon
