And this on top of what fell on large parts of Scotland recently too. I imagine the ground is pretty water logged already.
Yup, I'm in Fife ground is saturated. I'm back on duty on Monday with the fire service, we were busy last week with the rain. Funny thing is I'm meant to be on a flood response course on Monday and Tuesday. God knows what the water levels are going to be or if its going to be cancelled as I'm sure we will be dealing with the fallout of this for a few days.

Very cool last night, wife’s threatening to put the duvet back on the bed. This period of weather has been very disappointing, hard to plan when you don’t know how the days going to pan out. Got soaked on the way home going out of Buckhaven last night........obviously I didnt pack the waterproofs for the motorbike.......

I expect with the cut off low being in play there very well could be thundery activity though I don't think the models will be able to pick up any features (troughs etc) possibly until the latter part of this coming week.
yes more than an eyebrow raiser that and the GFS 12z well that's +19C 850s into the forth
Worries me, I'm on duty from Thursday right thrugh until Monday morning. The wildfire risk is through the roof at the moment I foresee a busy set of shifts attending wildfires.

This year is going quickly. Or I’m just getting older (is 42 old?). Still lots of good usable light and weather to come.
