Bit of a frustrating day here really. Been snowing all morning but very light. Small amounts settling on windward facing sides but nothing on the ground. It's simply too wet.

The heavier stuff seems to be passing just to the east of here (Southend/Leigh) but moving in a NE > SW direction.  I keep looking at the radar for signs of westward movement. It seems to be a little bit, but I'm not sure if it's simply hope vs reality!

I’m in Grays and it started settling on the grass about 20 minutes ago

Supposedly taking part in the Adidas City Run in Fulham on Sunday, they are saying they are monitoring the weather, but now with the yellow warning for Saturday and Sunday, what is the likeliness of them pulling the plug before the weekend?

I'm sure the health and safety people are a little concerned right now!

Same here, I’m doing the Brentwood Half, and they are saying the same. Saturday night/early hours has heavy snow forecast.

  3. Just saw the weather outlook by Alex Deakin on News 24.Good chance of snow on tomorrow. Then a lull in the afternoon followed by an increase in snow shower activity tomorrow night....and that's it, according to Alex Deakin.  Dry for the whole country over the weekend apart from the coasts. And dry into next week as well, with no mention whatsoever of any fronts coming down from the north. But probably too far out I would say?

I watched this too. He did mention at the end that the low that will will bring snow to Canada next week may track more our way as it follows the jet stream, but that they wasn't certain on that yet.
