OK... just had a look outside, heavy frost on the cars. Looks like some precipitation also?? I count that as wintery...

Just south of East Grinstead we haven't had any clouds yet, let alone snow !

howdy all,
I just drove down from a snowy central London at +0.5c to a green Crawley at +6c...
Never done that before...

Hi All
Proper snow here in west sussex. Just went for a walk. Most surfaces are going white. Threw a (small) snowball at the Mrs... She dodged it, so I gave it to the cat - who s now eating it !

giant flakes & very heavy snow looks really weird. I can't remember when I saw something like this.
-
Morning all, heavy snow here for a couple of hours. Settling on most things including the roads (that I can see). It is wet snow though, its not going to stick around for long..
-
I don't think I am going to bother looking out the window.
btw there is a banner add on my version of this page for ... "Lamp Posts - Huge Range" that made me chuckle..

Come on you lot were English we have power cuts not brown outs lol , ps keep safe all
Apologies, but I did not know the english for "greatly reduced electricity so that it makes the place look ... brown". That is what we have here. It not a power cut.
Internet still working amazingly.

Greatly reduced electricity. Many things not working, lights dim like a candle..
Gradually loosing electricity, lights so dim now. Fading like old battery. Only thing working is the internet (amazing). This may be be my last post for the night.
Slowley slipping away ... byeeeeee e e e e e ..

I hate to ask....."brown out?"
Greatly reduced electricity. Many things not working, lights dim like a candle..
-
Anybody else got a "brown out" (no I am not being funny). Or is it just a local thing ?
-
Just had a light flicker!
We have a very strange brown out. Got about 15% of normal power. Been like it for about an hour. Most things not working at all. Some modern lights about 40% but most at weak candle level. The only thing that seems normal is the internet & laptop on battery. Very weird atmosphere..

Fell asleep on the sofa. Got woken up by a cool wind coming through the window. All grey and windy here now. Lovely sunny hot day is gone...

Not in my house.... and I am a bear.... (ie covered in thick fur)..Don't think there will be many kids born in nine months time.Heatwave, nature's own contraceptive.
-
It feels like a proper heatwave day today. Warm sunshine early in the morning and temp going up fast.
-
Snow here. Doubt it will settle though - we shall see.....
I wish we had a proper mountain in the SE. A small range stretching from Crawley to Ashford, up to about 6000 ft. Is that really too to ask for?
to much to ask for..

I think we could get some feezing rain tonight. Well rain that subsequently freezes on selected surfaces only.
