Rain in Folkestone Snow on the ground going rapidly!
-
Is that the Lowestoft Snow machine starting up aimed straight at us? Stopped here now for a bit... but a nice fresh dusting.
-
The stuff falling here is mostly very fine needles! Very prety on clear car windows etc.
-
not sure why that happens, those are surface readings. the weather is not coming from france though- as per satellite animation
Helping us keep the current -4 at Langdon Bay though!
-
maybe thats coming off the sea because the general wind direction isn't southerly - http://www.sat24.com/gb
Seems to fit more with the continental flow http://xcweather.co.uk/FR/observations
Lille 7mph SSE for example
-
southerly???
Langdon Bay currently 16mph Southerly http://xcweather.co.uk/

Hi iKaz
Do you think its going to make its way inland at all? Im just south of Ashford.
Southerly dragging in the cold air from France... can't see any reason why not if it keeps up! We have a flat six inches (sheltered wheelie bin lid) here at the mo!

The current snow falling in Folkstone not showing up on the radar. -4 and getting a top up!
-
Say about 3 cms now at Watford - still moderate snow, though the temperature has risen to +0.4C and a humidity of 89%.
Has anybody got a formula for working out the dew point with that info?

First few, fine, whispy flakes in Folkestone!
-

No point saying that if your location isn't visible to the group!

Moonlight, broken clouds... and snow in Folkestone! Light but persistant! Not just your few flakes a minute! Proper, swirling snow!
