Baby toad with newt....(a pic from last season)
-
Only found one frog in our pond this year so far, I went to touch it and it moved .....last year there were 7 dead ones after that 2010/11 winter.

I hated last years snow and ice....couldn't drive so took public transport ended up having swine flu, core body temperature left me weak so became vulnerable to other viruses over the Christmas period; other health issues ensued by the extreme cold (-eg raynauds syndrome plus others). It (snow/ice) may look pretty, fun for the kids and folks who like extreme sports kinda stuff, but I too work outside and it aint fun. You have to wear company reg uniform, which is the bog standard hi-vis coat and if you put layers under that you can't move freely.
Then the year before my car was wrote off by someone losing control on an icy bend....( fortunately for me it was someone I knew and the matter was dealt with quickly )....am still wary of those right handers!
Drizzle......... crap to drive in but great to run in......

Would like to change my name, have looked back over help issues and at best the answer's to pm a mod. If I try to do that I get error message #10226.....unsure if it's 'because I've not posted or what....

Weh-hey!!!! just seen the first return female newt of the season !!!!!
I can spend hours relaxing gazing at the mini universe in our small pond watching the liitle life forms go about their business....love to see the colonies (?) of Daphnea darting about between the Star Wart in the darts of sunshine, the sporadic visitation to the surface of the Whirligig ....just grab a cushion and a stick....
