  8. 1cm lying snow here at 0900 after heavy snow shower for half an hour around 0430. Snow line was about 290m. Several cm lying on hills further north judging by how white they looked. Almost all snow has melted now, just a few patches left. T.M

Wet bulb was -0.6c giving a rel' hum' of 53% Temp' at 0900 0.3c Min last night -0.6c Grass min' -5.2c Rainfall from 1800 yesterday nil Wind at 0900 11 mph SW, gusting to 13. Barometer 1017.2mb, falling slowly. Vis' 6 miles, fog in the valleys 2.5cm lying snow, 99% of ground covered. 2 oktas altocumulus lenticularis and perlucidus. T.M

  13. Light snow falling for the last 15 minutes. We seem to be on the northern edge of an area of showers moving south east across the Derby area. Temp' down to -0.3c. T.M

  17. Morning all and seasons greetings. Just enough snow here (about half a centimetre) to make it white but not quite enough to make it really seasonal. At the moment all the cumulus, and some cumulonimbus, seem to be to the north and north east of me. T.M
