  1. Even thought the NW cam seems to be hung up and twitchy I does look like something forming on it... Have they caught a tornado on the NW live streaming cam yet?... been away most of the first few days chaseing
  2. In a word-long! A34 was nasty with the outside lane with piled up snow on it still! Should not have bothred after my team lost 1-0!!!
  3. got nothing!! But reports of show east, south, west and north east of here! What gives??
  4. Gone from light snow then sleet, now just modertate rain...
  5. Once again thanks, That route back via the M40 sounds much better, would not have thought of that. Oh and for the record, I have to go via Yeovil to play football in the morning so thats why its a via Yeovil situation!
  6. Great advice all cheers, Think the M5 all the way down to Taunton and then across is the best way in the morning, and then across to Bournmouth. (on the main roads even if it takes longer - Via Dorchester) Its the getting back bit thats the trouble as by all logic stright north is the route, but thats across the hils down there where it will have been worst, and im not 100% convinced that it will be clear by 5pm saturday, or if it is it will be very icey! Guess will have to risk the A350, on the way home, but i can see me asking for some more advice from my Iphone on here before setting off after the game. Hopefully i will get lucky and the Shrews/Bournmouth game will get called off and I can stay at home. Thanks again!
  7. Great Pics However I would like some advice from yourself and others in the area (and Yeovil) I have to travle to Yeovil in the morning to be there at 10am, and then onto Bourmouth (for football) and back again to Shrewsbury (which routes me back along the A37) Any one got any advice bearing in mind the conditions in the area, how best to go about this to avoid getting stuck, or crashing... Cheers
  8. You might, we have had about an hour of light/moderate snow. Not far to you from here!
  9. Strange, its been snowing, proper snow (if thats a term) not sleety in anyway, lightly since just before 11, now its just got heavier... wonder how long this will last...
  10. Well no where near as bad as predicted out west here in shrewsbury no more than 1-2 cm in the town center, probs more in the rural areas around. Still just enough to cover everything, so thats three days this week with snow cover in the morning, which is quality!
  11. If there is a foot of snow here I will be so happy! I dont know you but I now preclaim you to be an expert and take everything above as gospal  It really is looking good for the next couple of days...
  12. An hour and a bit of snow showers has just stopped here. That could be that for today.
  13. Snow from wales has now reached as far east as Shrewsbury... will any of it get to Telford, Walsall, Wolves, even Brum, Who knows, I did not think we had much chance today!
  14. Had a report from someone living in Bishops Castle (Shrops/Welsh boarder) thats is snowing there again... Thats 18 Miles south east of Shrewsbury... going to be very toutch and go if it gets here, but its clouding over..
  15. WOW an hour into this showery event, and its now totally chucking it down with Snow, roads have got covered in about 15 minutes!! Thisgs have really picked up!
  16. its amazing how much worse that is than here, where its still just a covering less than 15 miles away.
  17. First snow shower of the day, proper flakes and lots of them. Suggests that showers from Brum and Walsall/Stafford are still coming over the west.
  18. Just a light covering in Shrewsbury overnight, not even a Cm yet, nothing today so far, hoping that snow from West mids come over this way! South Shrophire took a bit of a pasting over night.
  19. Nothing here in Shrewsbury (very west midlands!!) Couple of rubbish flakes in the wind at lucnh time, but guess its wait and see tonight and Monday.
  20. ABC showing Galvaston already badly flooded.... look real bad already.... wonder if the houses being flooded many hours before the highest winds make them less stable (ie waterlogged ground) and more suseptable to collapse?
  21. Wathing that feed too... showing houses near the cost all under water alread, and its a way off landfall.... it looks certain some people will not have houses to return to in that area...
  22. Its the areas where you can look at street view.... nothing to do with flooding...
