South Wales beginning to light up but the storm to my NE has faded for sure

Edging closer.... Funny that last weekend the storms were going in the other direction and now the complete opposite

Flash bang flash bang etc Yep that's a beaut. I tried to find a suitable spot to fly my drone up to get a better look but I was practically standing in a river here so no take off permitted!

Morning all, managed to chase the cell that blew up from Chepstow area but ended up losing ground due to flood roads and having to turn back. At one point a family were rescued from their car as they became stuck on a grass verge separated by a torrent of water. The hail was pretty awesome as well as slightly bigger than the usual pea sized stuff! Anyways, once I managed to get signal again I made my way to a National Trust location (The Kymin) and watched the line of storms that came from the Bristol channel make their way over the Black Mountains. Rumbles of thunder now as the storm moves onwards towards Lydney area. Some hail larger than pea sized was falling very briefly here.

Currently under the M48 and have thunder and lightning

Bubbling up nicely... its only a matter of time now

Earlier this evening... hoping we get a little something here even if its just a smidge of rain

Took me while to get round to going through my footage from my little interception of the storm that came through the Cirencester area on Sunday eve... here's a few gopro stills... Also added in one from yesterday's storms over Bristol.

Managed to intercept just North East of Cirencester... incredible skies as I arrived and caught a glimpse of a few strikes as I fumbled about getting my camera out of the bag. Interesting to note that whilst I was sat under the pink blob of precipitation on the radar, it was hardly raining on the ground. Hopefully have some lightning shot stills from my gopro so will share later.

Just made it to Shipton... dark as anything!

Looking good on the radar... heading for the cotswolds me thinks!
