Quick one from me, expected snowfall totals over the next 48 hours
Blue: 5-25cm of snowfall- Really dependant on orographic snowfall aiding intensity, a bit of a headache to see how much it will happen.
Yellow: 3-10cm of snow- Higher totals coming from showers pushing in during the early hours of Saturday morning
Orange: 5-20cm of snow- Showers should start pushing further inland later but will loose intensity in the early hours of Saturday morning due to a milder flow (relative)

i think bbc have got it spot on the front beginning to move north now yeah it will probably be light but its something!

looks like its starting to speed up again or seems to be spreading more east cant really tell with raintoday playing up again.

Well I have to say that the latest bbc forecast graphics were dreadful! A few light flurries on the Pennines! Showed no snow in the region and NO snow showers! A complete and utter non event. Whilst everyone else in the south and east can say remember jan 2013 -well no, was nothing here! Media are just as bad implying the midlands as the whole country!
I really hope you get some snow this weekend cause I don't think I can take much more of your whining. Good things come to those who wait...

quite alot of thaw going on here all i can hear is drip drip drip oh well i enjoyed it whilst it was here.

No i admit doesnt look like there is on pic but honest i measured on bin.

moderate snow in louth just come over wolds pretty bad over there. so whats supposed to happen to this front cause it looks like it could be over in a couple of hours time but bbc got snow for here till well 5am lol dont think that right.

On raintoday looking like its slowing down as it reaches yorks at about 11am.
The sky is white and glowing im hoping for at least a couple of cms.

Its only meant to deliver 2-5 cm's at low levels and 10cm's at high levels. Based on rate its falling here (about 350m asl) I would say those estimates seem to be spot on.
its doesnt even look like its even going to produce that. the sysem last night looked better and that gave only a dusting. anyway fingers crossed.

im slightly worried the system doesnt look that good looks to be going to quick? is it going to stall?
here in louth a dusting but not on roads or pavements.

Looks like the fronts coming in quicker than expected going by bbc forecast looks like im going have to leave work early as i dont want to get stuck over those Louth hills!
im in Louth so hoping for abit of snow!

is it just me or did look north completely cut out lincolnshire? and whats with forecasting for cumbria abit confused??
winds me up that lincolnshire always gets left out :-(
