Sleet has turned more to snow now but surface is now very wet and not laying because its so wet!
-
Latest gfs run has a good east wind kicking in from wednesday, snow risk for next weekend at this stage is very high! Think next weekend will be much better for us on the south coast.
-
There isnt much coming out of these clouds at all, not even rain, must be just passing us by at the moment
-
Nothing here in bournemouth now not even sleet, its totally stopped. Weird!
-
Very slowly getting heavier here now, more sleet than anything, Feels like the temp has dropped a bit more now though since last time i went out.
-
Oh well next weekend could be very good for snow risk! Lets keep an eye out for that one too!
Is it me or does the band seem to have stalled and slowed again?
-
Ohhh pants just as i wrote that its started again. Sleet for me, wooo what a letdown
-
Still no sign of anything here yet, it did start to sleet a little but its all stopped, should be right on me now
-
Looks like sleet starting to fall in the air, although i can now see my breath in tha air again so temp has just dropped again. Wind still picking up
-
Rain today have updated their site to the snow map http://www.raintoday.co.uk/
-
Can no longer see my breath in the air, yet hour ago i could !
-
As this band is approaching i would say the temp has just shot up by at least 3 degrees!!
-
Wow wind just picked right up, temp has shot right up in the process!!!
-
Ok hold on to your hats this first band is about to hit me!!
-
Next weekend is looking good so far on the gfs so will have to wait and see on that one
Temperature dropping significantly here in poole will deffo be in the minus temps tonight!
The wind is predicted to turn sw so i wouldnt bank on that!
-
Blandford will have snow! North and east of blandford will get the snow.
-
Yep, light rain, temp now 4.2c and DP 0.9c

LOL just like i said rain for bournemouth on that video
-
This wind is going to turn SSW 23 mph around 6pm. Thats when the temps will rise. as whats happened in Cornwall.
-
Hundreds of flights from Heathrow and a string of sporting events have been cancelled
-
The front appears to be fragmenting a lttle across the southern areas with the main surge now appearing to have slowed down.
So looks like the timings of it hitting here have now gone backwards towards dark at least.
Yes i agree, at first this am it was looking like 2pm but we are not going to get the main band till much later now!!
Tamp has steadied out now, currently 2.0c and DP of -1.0c if it stays that way I think I may do well, especially if it starts to drop again this evening.
You got a very good chance in blandford mate! Further away from the coast the better!
-
We should start seeing a few more flakes this way soon. The band has stalled around exeter but some patchy pieces are breaking off and heading this way.
If anyone from weymouth you will see signs VERY soon! Please keep your eye open and report on what you are seeing!
-
We need this band to slow right up, which looks like is has quite a bit, timing is going to be everything here. The temps should start to fall again soon. Although the met website saying temps of 7 degrees tonight here in bournemouth
-
The wind has just picked up a tad here in bournemouth. It has been very calm here, The problem is the wind might turn to southerly and drive up the temps.
