Try defrosting your condensate pipe (assuming you have a combo boiler)

it will exit behind the boiler to the outside (white plastic pipe about 25mm wide) pour hot water on it.

its a common problem with combo boilers plumbers should use wider pipe or insulate it.

    easy fix mind.

It may be something else but worth a try:)

Unfortunately were on a communal system and the whole estate is down. Nobody can gain access to the plant room, and the breakdown service is unavailable. So looks like we're cold until the thaw starts

  2. Yes Mr Cameron paid a flying visit to us today

Conveniently the military showed up two days before this flying visit to build the beach up lol

It's going to take more than a few diggers though the beach has been transformed by the recent weather , quite unbelievable really .

Nature will take it's course eventually and it will rebuild itself but obviously that will take a very long time .

I hope we don't have a repeat of last Wednesday just a week later !

  3. I live at chiswell and I can tell you it's been one crazy night here !

I was out when the siren sounded as I'd been viewing the monster waves from a safe view point .

They were the biggest waves I've ever seen easily 30 ft some larger .

The beach road is closed and flooded a number of houses have also flooded .

We are all being told to stay upstairs and basically hope for the best !

Quite an experience and one I will never forget , having to look up at waves because they were so high was crazy !

    Walls of water x

  4. Indeed! What was the road like out to Portland this morning from the fleet, I can imagine covered in stones?

It was actually fine as far as I know , I think they did close it for a few hours though when the winds were at there worst . My garden actually came off lightly too considering how bad it was down here . The cast iron chiminea went walkies though ! Impressive considering it takes two to lift it normally !!
