Been very sunny in Axminster all day and car says 27degrees

Had a lovely storm in Axminster earlier, so early in the summer too?
-
A tiny covering here and now it' all going up beside me missing us completely.

Few heavy snow symbols added on the MetO app from midnight. Might as well stay up and follow it one last time.

Re freezing rain, I’m sure it happened at some point in December 2010 and the M27 near Southampton Airport was shut for a short time. Can anyone else remember this?
Yes it happened in Axminster, one minute it was raining and the next everything was covered in ice, I saw icicles form infront of my eyes from the shed roof, cars were skidding all over the roads. That was in 2010

But surely that means it'd be illegal to drive in a red area??.....no insurance means you're breaking the law
It' not true you are still covered, check the Meto site.

I know absolutely nothing about how the weather works but I just looked at netweathers radar and it looks like the stuff coming out of France is heading straight towards the East, Southampton and Kent way. Am I wrong? Can anyone explain how it' suddenly going to head straight for the southwest please because I'm very confused!!

I'm in Lyme bay area, I might be wishful thinking but does it look like the snow in the channel is getting a lot nearer to Lyme bay?

-5 in Axminster, and looks so pretty in my garden and surrounding fields white from the shower we had last night.

First proper heavy snow in Axminster and it' settling ?

The local news weather on ITV just gave an awful forecast. Only the very tip of Cornwall to get snow tomorrow, the rest of the southwest 'might' get some snow Thursday and rain Friday with 7 degrees by Saturday. This is all completely against what I've been seeing all day?
-
Someone else asked this question but not sure what the reply was, if someone says they have a snow shower how do we know if they are near to us without going into the profiles? I' sure it used to say down the side what area the poster was from.

Hello, perhaps this will cheer you up a little I was going to mention tomorrow's snow again in my next update this afternoon. Ignore the removed weather warnings which can often be quite fickle. The snow streamer is getting much more intense now and Guernsey should get a foot or more of snow in just a few hours today. That streamer "should" turn its attention on most us in the mainland West Country early tomorrow as the wind and flow swing "should" (in fact highly likely) into a more east-south-easterly direction which would be the perfect scenario (as per my detailed post on page 106 this morning). I think we'll see an amber warning for us issued by late this evening for all of tomorrow. With this snow fix, many should then be less concerned about Thursday which could either be a memorable blizzard or a complete flop. Enjoy. David
EDIT: latest working radar:
Hello David, ah yes that looks much nicer, thank you!!

All our snow has gone for Weds now, was down for heavy snow showers but that' just changed to nothing but bright sun...I don' get involved with weather stuff much only did this time as I'm going somewhere Friday but it' total madness!!
-
I need to get to Shepton Mallet from east devon on Friday, lots on here saying thur/Friday snow but both my BBC app and Meto say rain for Friday. So I look on my BBC app (which actually says 'heavy' rain) and think I'll get there then come on here and think maybe not...so confusing!!

Yes it really is the strangest colour I have ever seen and so dark the street lights came on.
