Looks like the twig is set up between Sheerness and Herne Bay with a few showers either side.

Medway will do ok - how much makes it past the north downs and the M20 - remains to be seen - I doubt there will be much, if any by the time it reaches the south coast, but I if there is I would say Portsmouth and areas slightly to the east of that.

All subject to change if the upper level winds change from now.

Bang in the middle of me nothing falling yet got a feeling its going to amount to nothing.

Looks like it’s been snowing lightly all night. Radar suggests that and still is snowing moderately. Roads are covered, doesn’t look to be stopping anytime soon. Hoping for some beefy showers these next couple of days. Will measure car in a bit. Probably 10cm or so now I’d expect

Done well down the road if it snows any lighter here it will be going back up might have managed 3- 4cm so far.

I think the disappointment today for many - except for some in the far east of the region - is the lack of settling snow. Plenty has fallen, ranging from light to heavy, but not much of it has stuck. That is down to air temps, dew points and ground temps being higher than expected. Here in NE London it’s been snowing non stop since about 8.30am, light to moderately, yet there’s only a sugary dusting on a few surfaces. If it had all stuck we’d likely have 3/4cm’s by now. The actual modelling of of the placement and intensity of this band has been pretty bang on, so no forecasting failure in that regard.

However, we still have another 2-3 days of opportunities for showers and streamers, at least for us further east, and that should all be in the colder air.

Any idear when temps might begin to fall just the wrong side here.
