  3. Same here bud, i vaguely remember events of 2005 and 2006 but i have never properly experienced an good overnight event
  4. Currently located in Cadgwith, Cornwall. Pretty sure im the most southern person on Netweather at the moment so i will make sure to keep you all updated with whats going on down here!
  5. Off to Cornwall for a week tonight and if any storms fire in Chesterfield next week, i am going to be exceptionally mad.
  6. 28th June 2012 i suppose could be classed as "heavy" however here in Chesterfield it was no organised storm, more just a mess. So tbh the last proper thunderstorm here and certainly the last time we have seen lightning at night must be 2005/2006
  7. Sferics on the Cell just to my east, looks like it heading just east of Mansfield
  8. Dark skies to my east, sun is still out here, temperature sitting at 27.
  9. Hope the Midlands is in for a battering! Not had any storm action for way too long!
  10. All i seem to get here is the odd rumble and a few flashes, the last major storm was probably back in 2009/10. Even last year on June 28th we only had a few loud rumbles and a few strikes. Ah well, just gotta hope that July and August bring something interesting!
  11. Still very humid here in Chesterfield, Accompanied by a blanket of cloud and very slight SE breeze
  12. Seems to be getting increasingly warm and muggy here, still under a blanket of cloud.
  13. Well here in Chesterfield we have "that fine drizzle that soaks you through" Any potential for the East mids later?
  14. 2 Cm of snow in Chesterfield, covering the roads and still falling now
  15. Seen 4 or 5 flashes of lightening in Chesterfield
  16. At least 15cm of fresh snow in Chesterfield, Started very lightly around 7pm and continued to get heavier untill around 12:30
  17. Being only 17, there’s not too many good storms that I can remember (it sure seems like there has been a lot less activity over the past 4/5 years!!) anyway the one storm that comes to mind for me is one that must have occurred around June/July 2005, i remember standing on the playing field with my mates and watching this huge dark cloud approaching and then eventually running home when it finally reached us. The storm produced constant, and i mean constant lightening and loud thunder for around 2 hours, directly overhead, however there was only a slight bit of rain and no hail or strong winds. The only other event that sticks in my mind was when my school was struck by a one off CG in September 2007, no thunder or rain again, just a bolt out of the blue, it was a rather cool event to happen for me at the age of 12 and is probably the main thing that got me interested in storms all together.
