Just a damp squib so far :\

Hope soYeah nothing at all remarkable in our region, dull, persistent rain and not a breath off wind. Temperatures are disappointing here in South Shields currently at 14.7℃.
Should start to brighten up soon and heavy thunderstorms already SW of York could sneak into our region. Possible fun and games with regards to the wind strength later (midnight onwards?) could gust over 60mph around the coasts and possibly 70 over the hills (Pennines, Cheviots).

Just started here at Seaton Sluice on the coast.
Quite heavy with large flakes, settling very quickly

Just settled for all of 10 mins on cars.
Now more like rain.

Been steadily snowing here since about 5.30.
A few changes in intensity, but good covering, hopefully a few hours left for here yet.

Snowing in Seaton sluice, got a nice little cover already only started at half five.

Just been looking through some charts,
you'll have to forgive me but still learning.
Is this the front that could lead to further snow fall for some on Friday,
checking against DP and upper temps if the front manages to get any where near me its more likely to be rain
Or am I totally wrong.

Just got in from work and the little amount of snow that accumulated here last night has gone.
It is now just cold, wet and raining.

Still snowing, intensity died a little though.

Dew points and temp steadily dropping since around 10pm.
First time all day got into minus figures.
DP -0.5°c
Temp -0.2°c

How long can I expect this to last?

When the wind drops you will get almost instant snow. Than happened here.....
And here wind is almost non existent

We now have snow ! Albeit very wet but starting to settle lightly on my car

Very wet slush now falling... Technical I know but prefers that word to sleet.
