Well having just watched national weather forecast they were fairly bullish that this will be a full day event, with snow continuing into the evening and night across affected areas. We could be looking at something pretty major here!

Unsurprisingly Met Office have now issued Red Warnings for South Wales watching TV they are getting pasted. If we carry on like we are in Warrington I would expect this to better 2010 event!

Heavy snow in Warrington for the last 30-45 mins. Starting to get a good covering now with large flakes and an icy cutting wind out there.

Hope so, only found this site recently and having always loved snow its brilliant! Always had an interest in meteorology when I was younger so will fast become an addict I think soon. Starting to pick up a bit now.

Promised the kids we would be able to build a snow man today. Will we get enough in Warrington area to do that?

Light snow in Warrington, most of what fell last night has either melted, been blown or has frozen. Hoping for something more significant soon!

Starting to get a little heavier in Warrington after about 40 mins of very light fine snow. Wind has really picked up though, interesting!

My kids are supposed to be visiting grandparents tomorrow. Travelling from Warrington to Liverpool. Are we likely to see disruption M62 and M57 area?

So are we still looking at Western fringes of the south of the region. Liverpool, Wirral, Widnes, Runcorn, Warrington etc?

Ok so I have watched this unfold over the last couple of days and whilst things could change it still looks positive for parts of the North West. I live in Warrington so am optimistic I will see something here.

Stopped snowing now. Have had around 3 hours of snow which has left a great covering. Schools closing across Warrington. Is this expected to due out now across this part of the region or pep up again?
