0.5 here already.
Still some patchy snow and slush cover too. Only a bit of slow melt today.
Roads going to bad in the morning!
Very limited melt today in Bramley. Back garden still has a good solid covering of snow and even still plenty on our side road, where it has not been impacted by vehicles. Great to see lying snow for a couple of days for the first time since March 18.

This one provides a map of European snow cover, and provides comparitive graphs for a number of different countries which will at least cover some of the gap created by the loss of the Eurasian snow cover map.

Happy for you guys, your all sounding really happy! Loving the pics I've seen and Rotherham getting deep snow
Two and a half inches or so in Bramley according to the ruler I took outside a short while ago. Bramley was just a few miles north of the heavier stuff in the streamer, so it could easily have been a lot more.

Snowing here in Rotherham, most places white over now.
Was looking like it might settle in for a while from Bramley through to Broom but ran out of gas by the town centre. Each attempt in the last couple of hours has been stronger though. Looking forward to the week ahead.

Although the ground was extremely wet when it turned from rain to snow, it made no difference at all in terms of the speed at which our estate turned white. The ground is now completely covered, including roads, and the snow continues to fall heavily. Don't remember seeing such large flakes over such a prolonged period of time on too many occasions. Flakes this big usually peter out after a few minutes.

It's now snowing on the Sheffield/Rotherham border. As others elsewhere have remarked, the transition from rain to snow took place pretty rapidly. We are only around 50m above sea level.

Watching the Leicester v Toulouse game at the moment. They are having to send a guy round the touchline as the game is progressing just to keep the white lines of the pitch visible. And they are not really receiving the heaviest precipitation in this band. Very promising for tonight - especially if like me you spend most of your time in South Africa!!!

What? That fine stuff that soaks you right through?
Light drizzle for you mate

Sure you are aware of this and it is usually 30 mins out of date, but it does give decent location information if you zoom in. Almost up to Dronfield on the 09:00 update.

The front has definitely pushed on in the last half hour or so. Not far away from the south east corner of South Yorkshire now.

Had a snow shower somewhere around 19:30 when I was playing football at Wickersley School. The positive news for the rest of the evening was that the shower, though brief, was snow rather than rain or sleet.
