I must admit to being a saddo who enjoyed trying to guess the answer on where's Fred but other than that I could do without him.

Jo Blyth was more optimistic of a major dumping across the region talking of up to 20cm over high ground and 10cm to lower levels

It's just a shame that I take Granada and ITV weather in general with a pinch of salt as it certainly doing more for our sanity than the BBC option at local level.

Also Jo is something special to look at, even more so when standing in front of disruptive snow graphics.

Thank god that Fred went on extended leave.

Oxberry says only 3cm for most....she didnt mention rain though.

Boston in the US is just declared a state of emergency due to heavy snow. They expecting 2-3ft of snow locally.

We can only dream of that here.
