Miserable weather again. Cool and rainy. On the plus side we have reached double figures today - currently 10.1 C. feels like we have had weeks on end of NE winds

No lying snow here this week. Just a couple of heavy showers. Not too bad at mo - dry and 6.6C.

13.7 c here. Sunny but blustery. Went for walk with the full winter gear on- doh!

Since Ive been up temp has gone from 9.6C to 8.9C. Drizzly in NW breeze. Anybody forecasting some decent weather for the north? ( fed up with Carol telling us the weather is sunny and warm for just about everyone!!)

No snow here on Moray coast. Temp 0.9 c and sunny

I have been patient this year. But winter so far has been rubbish. I have had one day of proper lying snow and very few hard frosts. I hope January means winter can start.[
Your lucky . We've had no lying snow. Best we've had is a heavy sleet shower.

Nice calm dry start to the day patches of frozen snow sparkling and currently -0.5c. Appears to be a line of showers heading down from the NW on the radar so nice frozen base ready for them.
Clear morning. Now 2,4 c and heavy rain. Turning to sleet. Too be expected on coast I suppose.

In North Sea until Thursday. Home for Christmas - so after Thurs the weather can do what it wants. Hopefully get snowed in!!

Does anyone remember the storm on 5th Dec 2013? I had put up a new weather station the week before. After a sleepless night ,when I thought the roof was taking off, went down stairs to check highest gust. All I got was a blank screen. Looked outside to see bits of the weather station scattered about garden.

just goes to show how bad a winter we have had and why the ski resorts have so much snow up there
don't think its the wettest ever but certainly the wettest in the last hundred years
I am considering myself lucky to live on the Moray firth coastal strip. One of the few places in the UK to be below average.

Snowed here at 8 last night. Temp 0 C. Awoke at 6 to hear rain battering on the window. Snow gone and temp of 2 C Eh?
