  1. stewfox Just this at the moment, should have some more when they're up in a couple of hours.
  2. A proper near miss yesterday, was very lively over France.
  3. The weatherholidays team are out in Arkansas, just minutes from totality
  4. Let's not send another weather related thread down the politics rabbit hole please...
  5. Fen Wolf The ECMWF (which the BBC use) and various other models have high pressure ridging temporarily north into southern Britain during the second half of next week. Most models agree it'll be quite brief though.. Here are the various ECM model maps for next Friday, including their AI one - all have high pressure playing a bit more of a role than we've seen of late
  6. It'll be warmer and wet this weekend, kind of springlike ish? (If you ignore the 70mph winds at least)
  7. BenW It's almost caught up now, the 9z completed a few minutes ago and the 12z is running currently and should finish in 15 minutes or so
  8. There's been a major met office outage, unfortunately. The 21z was the last complete run that was available until around 45 minutes ago. The 3z is just running currently, which is hopefully going to have complete data. The 6z looks like it'll be incomplete, so we'll skip it, and hopefully get the 9z and 12z run straight after, so it should all start to catch up over the next hour or so.
  9. In terms of the radar, all I can see is that you are being sent notifications and that there are no errors reported. It's very difficult to diagnose beyond that, unfortunately.
  10. Ok, if you have the PWA installed for the community, the notification permissions will be in that under app settings. If you're just using it on web, it'll be in the browser settings. First port of call, I think would be to double check and potentially reset those, so it can ask again and re-set them. Beyond that, it could be a bug within the community, potentially. I've seen the odd one mentioned on their community over recent months, so I can raise a ticket with them and ask the question, assuming your permissions are all set etc. If you're using the community in the browser, I'd probably also recommend clearing cookies/cache for the site and logging back in again, just to see if it's that.
  11. Are you just talking the community at this point, or on the radar too?
  12. It doesn't make much sense that they'd suddenly stop, but nothing has been changed in that respect on either the community or the radar since yesterday either. And as I say they are entirely different systems - the community is hosted and managed by Invision themselves on their servers (Amazon cloud based) and the radar is on our servers (Google cloud based).
  13. For those interested in the lightning side. Tracking the strikes today, the new Vaisala system has picked up around 40% more strikes than the old Met Office one, so far.
  14. I can see in the logs for the radar that we're sending them to 3 devices/browsers on your account and they're all being sent without any errors coming back. As it's the forum and radar you're not getting them from, it is most likely that it's something on your side, as the two are completely separate.
  15. The forum and radar are entirely separate set ups. Have you double checked your browser permissions? It may be worth resetting them to 'ask for permission' (or similar) to ensure they're lined up.
  16. And I think that's everything back to normal, hopefully!
  17. The data is starting to come in again at the moment, so there'll be a bit of a period of jumping around as the system catches up (they're sending quite a lot of files at once, in a random order).
  18. The Met Office have come back about the radar, they're experiencing a network wide issue with it, which they're working to sort. As I type, the data for 1630 just came through, so it may be starting to recover, but I'd not be surprised if it's a bit bumpy for a bit at least.
  19. Mapantz The met office system didn't either, beyond a solitary strike around lunchtime. Whether that's a combined weakness or a combined strength, I'm not too sure, but the boltek-based systems are certainly capable of showing false positives. We are monitoring both systems right now, though, and aren't wedded to sticking with the new one, should it transpire that staying with the meto one is the best route.
  20. Yep, we're not receiving data from the met office currently, unfortunately. We've raised a ticket with them, so hopefully it'll be resolved soon. I suspect it may be a widespread issue as their own website isn't updated beyond 4pm either, the last I saw.
  21. Have you updated to the latest version of the v8 radar @Mapantz? Comparing what it's detecting with the old met office version, it's picking up a lot more strikes, from what i can see.
  22. Snowing here at the moment, it's wet though so only settling briefly/on the grass. On another subject, there's also plenty more rain about, but signs of some improvement at least going into the Easter weekend. @Jo Farrow's video forecast has some more details
