Going really well isn't it. Not a single lightning strike detected in the UK yet. Whoa,. This place is fast turning into Florida...
Amusing. Max CAPE isn't generated until late afternoon and into early evening, i.e. 6-7pm, so have a little patience. Same thing from the same members year in, year out. Good grief.
These "free for all" convective situations are rubbish here, CAPE doesn't guarantee thunderstorms either BTW, at least here the dewpoint and humidity seems really low, and also there needs to be some kind of defined lifting mechanism it seems to get a thunderstorm here. Otherwise they all develop in the usual favoured places like the cheshire plain, manchester, and the midlands.

Sweet F all will happen here as per usual given the recent luck we have with things in this stormless hovel. I see that the CAPE has already been massively downgraded yet again, and at 8 degrees with a bunch of cloud and drizzle I can't see anything other than the typical disappointment. I wish I was back in Africa again.

It means nothing to most of us, you could be anywhere, so how about a touch less of your rather unpleasant language, same in a couple of other threads, and be a good un and put your town in your avatar please?
thanks
My language is descriptive, which makes it more interesting than other people's. If the weather is unpleasant then I will describe it in such a manner.

Complete toss-tacular rubbish, moronically cold and wet today, I had my pants totally soaked in the rain, and they melted when I tried to dry them infront of the fire. All thanks to this retarded jetstream buggering off to the south and giving us yet another washout summer.
Await the pathetically dismal atrophied temperature stats, right here they are:
low: 2.8°C
"high": 7.8°C
rain: 24.6mm
Overcast all day apart from a bit of cloud break up just before sun-set (as usual)
Rating: 0/10, load of old cobblers.

Abseiling's always good in severe squally gusts and frequent CG lightning. Shows you have some real bawls then.

70mm of rain this month and 298mm of rain this year.
You do all realise I hope that the moment anybody starts wittering about it being dry it's going to rain every day all day until October yes?

Most folk chelping about being cold are probably half that so have no excuse. Just soft if you ask me... or even if you don't.
Rubbish. What is so hard about understanding that people have different preferences, or physiology? I hate the cold but can manage 35°C+ fine. You hate warmth let alone heat, does that make you soft? Aye.

The storm was in Africa, in the SW of Chad.

We had a really big thunderstorm here the other night, about 1AM. Really severe winds. So severe infact, that all the windows broke in my house.

Very messy looking here, seems the cumulus clouds have reached the inversion and spread into a layer of altocumulus. Is that a good sign?
