BBC news 24 just talked about the snow moving through midlands...is it game on again?

At least if it doesn't snow we won't have to endure watching it melt on Thursday!

Most interesting thing about this cold spell so far is how quickly temperatures are dropping this evening, falling at a rate of 1.7C an hour and now about to here freezing here in Towcester. Northants.

Hi all, new to the forum, looks like a busy place!
I reside in Towcester, Northamptonshire, and certainly there's a big difference between yesterday and today's weather. Not so much in terms of temperatures but in terms of cloud - unbroken sunshine yesterday morning and early afternoon, now it's dull, damp and drizzly - very November like really, just a couple of days early!
Look forward to communicating with you all.

What a fascinating thread, many thanks to all involved. It's certainly a very interesting area of study and it will be intriguing to see what comes of the findings from this October and then to see how this winter plays out. Looking forward to future developments with regards to this!

Nothing but some rain here in Towcester, Northants, overnight, not disappointed as it's no less than expected. Conditions simply weren't right for lower levels the further south you went.
