  1. Well haven’t been on for a while , what with family life , COVID etc , been popping my head in now and again .
well it’s been snowing here in galleywood  non stop since about 8am and we have a decent covering on grass , buildings and very small accumulation on the paths , very patch tho , looking at the radar I’m in a decent spot at the moment , and things could change as wind directions change , it’s currently 0.1 here .

  2. Was a bit shocked to see its -5 here in Chelmsford , I’m sure on last nights weather on tv they said a low of -2 , well still have lying snow from Tuesday night here and where the snow has melted its white again with ice so all in all it looks like a gorgeous winters day out here , will Chelmsford get snow tonight , well only time will tell ! ????❄️

Thought I had stumbled into the Mod thread, very negative in here !! Come on guys snow on the way Tuesday & Thursday and then possibly at the weekend. The hunt for cold is over.

I agree , whatever happened to glass half full ? , I’m remaining positive , seems like everyone is looking for the negative before it’s even started . I will most definitely be lamppost watching from tomorrow night , well until midnite anyways as I’m one of those places where they switch the dam streetlights off at midnite , but just means I got to leave my porch light on all night

cone on guys and gals chin up , it’s cold ?, we have a chance at some snow anytime over the next few days think positive ❄️☃️

Probably get more sense in here than on the MAD thread. Hopefully a busy and white winter

To be honest I have been in there for the last month watching the banter but also seeing a lot of dummies being thrown out of prams , it’s very hard as a novice , even tho I been on this forum for a few years to make out what exactly is going on from one day to the next with everyone’s different views on the weather.

i just sit back and watch (mainly grown men) throwing there testosterone around like snowballs , to me being female it is hilarious and I take it all with a pinch of salt and just try to fathom out what’s actually in the charts etc by reading between the lines  ?‍♀️

Popped over to the shop and took a few snaps. I loved the little icicles on the lamp outside Asda. It didn't seem like much was falling but my footprints were already filled in outside my house when I got back after 10 minutes.
    It's just stopped.

21:00 Radar Grab shows the current dry slots - East kent & Sussex -

The circulation that was ruining Brightons chances is drifting west - so you should be looking south-

Been very fortunate here - The dry slot disnt make it & the PPN back built over kent - its like a South coast streamer moving North-

    Hosing it down here.

I’m in galleywood , Chelmsford , am I in the firing line for a bit more ??

The PPN is going to lift out & the Meto warning will be a semi bust being about 50 -75 Miles to far SE - cant really be to harsh with that-

Hes a radar grab - the ppn has been converging on the SE  due to combination of the upper air cold pool & the wave-

The upper air cold pool & associated instability is exiting the stage to the left & so the PPN is going with it. If your in the green its over already - If your red your safe for a while yet-..

This is 100% down to the 200 / 250 mile northward shift of the cold pool as the convection on the northern quadrant is epic !  ( Pic below ) - look what you would have won...

5cm here. Fat lady has turned up in her cab.

The only hope for the kent SE is for some shallow convection to fill in the gap now ---

Think I’m in between the 2 , think maybe a good idea to put your phone on charge Steve ??
