  1. It's gunna be like the apocalypse here tonight, I base that on the scientific analysis of the forecasters dodging my location and everyone in the West getting excited and gagging for a monster storm and I'm sitting here begging the Lord to let it dodge me. That means it's coming for me on the South East coast, probably at 9pm when I have to walk home from work, and with my luck, u guys can take that as gospel haha!

  2. MCS Initiation, now if that can be in a favourable position eg stretch across to the Brest Peninsula then expect a North moving MCS To affect us overnight Friday into Saturday morning, I am pretty sure when Estofex update tonight the Day 1 for Friday will include a Level 1 over the Uk for said MCS Moving North at the end of that forecast period (eg tomorrow evening)

You know the big storm we had that Friday Night last July? Can you remember what level if any http://www.estofex.org/ issued then for us?

Just had a look on the archives we were under a level 2

  3. I wonder this too. If so, I'd rather it just go bang in one go than have more mediocre storms.

It feels like its getting hotter in this house.

I only say it coz usually when this happens every moans about the 'crud' leftover means there's less surface heating to trigger the storms!

This humidity though! I hate storms but of its gunna clear the air then go for it! Ugh, dreading tomorrow

  4. Hi, see below:The heat index (HI) or humiture or humidex (not to be confused with the Canadian humidex) is an index that combines air temperature and relative humidity in an attempt to determine the human-perceived equivalent temperature—how hot it feels. The result is also known as the "felt air temperature" or "apparent temperature". For example, when the temperature is 32 °C (90 °F) with very high humidity, the heat index can be about 41 °C (106 °F)

It is becoming increasingly more humid as more hot air is being pumped northwards with a lot of moisture from continent good for storms! This will worsen through week. Before turning much fresher Sunday. :)

Thanks for clearing that up! I've decided I'm not leaving the house, apart from to work for the rest of the week, hate humid heat and hate storms!

  5. Hi ThunderBuddy! Have you managed to avoid storms so far this summer? I have had two short lived ones and that has been it. Might be  hard to dodge them next week with all that heat around. Quite breezy tonight, still warm though, 15.2c

Yes I have been lucky so far! The most I've had is a couple of heavy hail showered this year! Yes I'm dreading next week, as I now work evenings too, so I think I am going to haven't pull a sickie!

Have woken up to blue sky's and it's hot already!
