Afternoon all.......11°C here......bloody miserable day.....was pretty windy earlier with that annoying drizzle which made it feel colder, and my son's footy team got whacked at home 7-1...️.
Anyway onwards to the storm.....wonder if the exposed coastal areas that originally got an amber warning get upgraded to red?
Everything battened down....except Dorothy's house..

Afternoon all.......beautiful end to the day here and 7°C.
Will it or won't it......just put us out of our misery.....either keep all the snow well south and into France or give us a nice little snow event.......I guess it's not looking great.....gonna try and keep my glass half full....several more weeks of winter left.......maybe we'll get another shot before winter is out.....
At least we'll have a nice largely sunny week ....bar the odd surprise.

The 15Z UKV has moved the ppn further north on Tuesday night. It still remains mostly in France and in the channel, but it has definitely inched north.
If it can keep inching north over the next few runs that would be good and we might be in with a shout......I'm running out of straws to clutch .

Good morning,...-1°C here and clear skies.
Just before I go into work I'd like to ask the more knowledgeable peeps in here a question.
Why are the temps not plummeting at night in clear skies and cold in situ?.....I'm not getting it....I thought they'd be dropping further .
I'm not even bothering with the MAD thread....if we get snow great....if not..keep up the nice cold bright days .

Afternoon all.......the excitement is building.....Will it or won't it....listening to greatest hits radio south earlier and they have mentioned snow next week....that's definitely kiboshed it.
Would be great if we had a decent snow event.....but as always we'll see.
Knowing our luck it'll be a slushy mess.....but here's hoping .

Floods everywhere on the way home from work and very windy.....absolute garbage day.
On a brighter note we are taking the Dec's down Saturday now... sod it.
Watching the darts in a still very festive front room with a cheeky little port.

Our power keeps going on and off here. It's well bad in the wind.
Me and Sophie both in bed as ill. She's been sick 3 times this morning and I don't know if I have a really, really bad IBS flair or am coming down with her bug but I've been in big pain since 5am
Hope you both feel better soon.

Good morning all, hope you all had a great Christmas
Dull and drizzle here and 12°C....and heavy rain moving in.
Hope to get online today to hopefully buy a new weather station.
Really don't like being without one this long.. kind of feel out of the loop.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing .

Anyone else find it ironic that the calmest weather 24 hours for what seemed ages coincided with the likely windiest indoor 24 hours nationwide!?
Ha ha yeah,I reckon it's windy today because everyone has opened their windows

Evening all,
So my youshiko weather station has decided to give up the ghost.
I'm looking to get one after Christmas.
What would you all recommend?....budget £100-£150.
What do you guys have?
I'm thinking of another 5 in 1 youshiko but interested in other options & opinions.
Hope you are all enjoying your Christmas eve

Adults or children’s football? My team Westbury United are due to play in the New Forest at Bashley this Saturday.
There’s a few of us in this thread with involvement in local adult leagues.
It's under 18s youth side Andy.....yeah we are playing in Boldre...never played there before.
Hoping the game goes ahead...have to wait and see.

Evening all, another soaking today and some of the roads flooded on the way home from work in Romsey.
Looks like my son's football could get postponed this weekend in the new forest.
That'll make it 3 games so far this season.
Anyway on to better news......day off tomorrow .

Wow 5 days in, one cold spell passed, and giving up, really?
It's a classic British winter, cold oop north and mild doon sarf, acceptance of that makes the pain a LOT less.
Where does it say I'm giving up?.....I just like cold snowy weather.
It would be nice to see a decent cold spell......it could take a few weeks or months...or maybe being down south it won't happen...but it'll be nice all the same.

Afternoon all......cloudy grey and 7.0°c......just had a little venture into the mad thread....Hmm....I'll say no more....but the lack of posts says it all for us coldies.
Here's hoping something colder comes along at some point this winter...
Stay dry folks .

Rubbish day here. Jess tired as in bed late last night. S bouncing off the walls. Hubby fed up of seeing kids mess and saying I'm the main instigator of it having a go at me. Getting rid of the cot bed tomorrow. So I've prepared that to go. Need to change Js bedding now and then clean the bathroom. Feeling stressed out. I put Christmas music on and everyone sodded off upstairs. No Christmas cheer here.
Have a little Christmas drinky and keep playing that music....hope your stress disappears soon
