    Oops....
Unfortunately the page you're trying to reach is no longer on the Netweather website. This doesn't mean the forecast or feature you're trying to find no longer exists, perhaps you have typed in the incorrect address or are using an old link or bookmark which has been changed.

All of the main areas on the site can be reached using the menu at the very top of this page, if you still can't find what you're looking for, please contact us and we will be glad to help.

I hope this is the right place to ask?

Part if my fence is down. Wind is really howling out there. We are exposed on a hill.

I think this can make a huge difference, some people reporting a lower wind speed, I'd imagine you may be tucked away and sheltered but could be roaring away tens of feet above.

Bungee cords, order a pack now you will have it back up and robust again by dinner time.

You must have missed the news and the coverage and ignored the named storms list. it was not a squall we had several hours of 60+mph gusts and someone was killed during that storm too. Tonight is far from the first storm of winter.

Yes it’s shocking. It used to be that if you clicked on a certain warning it would only  highlight that on the map, now there is nothing distinguishable between any of the warnings a complete and cluster bleep. I never understand changes they make to make things worse. Who decides to come up with that? Crazy

I don't see the difficulty just go to the localised computer forecasts you will see the warnings in place for your location.

Met have finally upgraded their wind gusts to be more in line with the BBC. Peak gusts around 60mph between 10pm and midnight. Still bordering on the (Amber is a bit ott) but I can see why they've just stuck an Amber over Scotland.

met office haven't upgraded everywhere still showing 52mph in london doesn't match the charts.

They never do its meteo group. No longer the met office

However they did mention the winds several days ago on the BBC on YouTube for it's weather channel. I even mentioned this days ago when asking about the winds it's video and computerised forecast did point and illude to.

The weather will do what it wants

But I feel we've seen a lot of it lately.

Heathrow 69mph during the previous London impacting storm, that is a very rare thing here. Not saying this Sundays will get to that but looking at the numbers it will get close to this number. We are used to 50mph storms but something almost 70mph is something that was very rare.

Hoping for upgrades love a good windstorm! And before anyone tries the usual guilt tripping, this a forum for weather enthusiasts who love severe weather!

I only like wind when big jet tv gets to heathrow but no thanks already had next doors fence fall into our garden last time hours after the worst winds already passed.

Noted that, again it has gone from somthing of a shallow wave in earlier fax output to more recently a clear centre and mild deepening...

hope it isn't heading to London again, woke up to neigbours fence in the garden yet it was still in place during the storms peak.

  10. Was there a sting jet from this storm Henk after dark? the winds died down but overnight the neighbours fence came down yet it wasn't even moving during the worst of the storm that reared it's head in the afternoon.

Don’t know if anyone on here has seen this yet but the risk of Very strong winds and POTENTIAL tornado activity is well possible tomorrow. Many models suggest a small low pressure system bringing localised winds in excess of 70mph across the Central Midlands around 15z. Lightning wizard highlights localised Convective gusts around 80mph and shows strong SRH near the mesolow as it crosses the country. Curved Hodographs are also evident when looking at the Arome model.

One thing I also noticed is the slight similarity to October 31st 2021 as the UKV chart looks quite similar. This Mesolow produced multiple tornadoes and strong winds across a localised central swath of England.

The weather outlooks display of wind gusts has downgraded I'm only seeing low to mid 40s in the 3pm update.
