I've noticed that the most northern extent of the band isn't reaching northern Ireland. That's where the boundary between the more moist layer and the colder, denser layer is. If you draw the line of the general path of the low, you get an idea of where the convergence would be. Anything along that line stands a good chance of CZ precipitation, anything below would see precipitation from the band, anything further north, likely to be dry.

You know what, it ties in very nicely with the MetOffice warnings.

Excuse my lack of knowledge but what is CZ Precipitation?

Well thanks 252  that’s the best it gets !!!!!

Downgrading last three days from heavy snow for 5 hours to a dusting if lucky. The met Office got it spot on Tuesday so why not tomorrow

Hey Foz ?? if something can downgrade, it will around here. I was looking at the dew point the other night on the Wellesbourne airport weather site, much higher than what everyone else in the region was reporting. We are just too low with unfavourable geography it seems. ??‍♂️

    Certainly lower overall now...

If this is correct and the metoffice puts an amber warning out for it we will be the laughing stock of the world.

Love the big hole around Warwick, Stratford and Wellesbourne. Figures

The problem with wishing the snow would hurry up and get here is that the faster it is heading north the less time it will spend in our region!

I think the green blob to the SE of Stratford could get here in the next half hour or so - unless, of course, it fizzles out before then.

Been tracking it for a while..looks like it could be a direct hit if it doesn't dissapate
