  1. Wow. Woken up to a white out. Hard to see where the road and walls meet. The wind has blown drifts up the side of four feet dry stone walls and you can just see the tops! The garden is a swirl of drifts and snow. I had a stone bench in the garden and it is buried. I have not seen snow like this since I was a child. Even 2010 was not as dramatic as this with the drifts. AND it is still snowing heavily and the wind is still blowing. What a day ahead. Love it. It has just made this Winter a classic.

  2. The real beautiful thing about this snow is that you can see the crystals glistening reflecting the street lights on the ground and even some doing this as they fall past the street light.

    Driving through it tonight I was convinced it was rain for a while. It reflected and glistened just like fine rain. It was magical. A few cm here in Pudsey. Nothing spectacular but everything looks so pretty when in snows, however much. More to come?
