It's not just the southern UK that has been getting thunderstorms, there have been a lot of severe thunderstorms over Germany as well and all the flooding you get with torrential rain

Although yesterday was a little bit of a let down to be fair (the showers we're wintry at first but eventually turned to plain rain) the opportunities for this week (after tomorrow) seem endless. Already it's a lot more exciting than the whole of last winter (2 weeks into december too) fun times ahead!

Yes, the least snow I can remember ever in my 68 years, however, the winter of 13/14 was very snowy up in the Highlands, so perhaps the winter of 14/15 will have more snow.Do you want to have as much snow as November and December 2010, remember that day about exactly 4 years ago in 2010 when  everything stopped on the motorways and other roads, some people were stuck in their cars for more than 12 hours, even on the M eight and M80.

[Atlantic Storms Autumn 2014]

A new thread to bring us up to date and take us through Autumn moving ever closer to Winter! The first batch of wet & windy weather has already made it's presence felt over the last 24 hours, the beginning of next week is also looking very wet and very windy especially for the N&W of the UK.

Well its not as bad as Buffalo in US  very dramatic pictures in the last 24 hours, 5 feet of snow, UK grumble if they get 2 inches
