The showers are supposed to die down gradually from the north I believe as the high builds in or at least that’s my understanding.

Wow just check out the latest radar the North Sea is proper alive tonight in the next 30 mins all the way from Scarborough to kings lynn there is activity about to make landfall. I have a feeling tonight with the cold temperatures and increased activity a lot of people will wake up very happy in the morning

Can confirm Boston and Kirton which is 5 miles up the road are right in the firing line about time we’re hitting the jackpot
-
Brief snow shower and instantly covered previous tracks that were made, depending on the frequency we could be in for a good night on top of what we had already, amazing the difference after sunset makes in terms of helping snow settle an hour ago it wasn’t settling over previous tracks now it’s instantly covered.
-
Seems to of pepped up here, nothing heavy just steady continuous snow for last half hour or so and looking at the radar without jinxing it the showers are all perfectly aligned to pass straight through here
-
About 2cm here with flurries on and off, expected a lot more but at least we’ve seen some, definitely helps the snow falling overnight as during the day yesterday it wouldn’t settle and everything was just wet
-
Night time is approaching so hopefully this will help the snow stick better.
-
Heaviest shower of the day now and it’s left a dusting on all surfaces even though they were wet

Showers do actually seem to be more regular now, nothing settling as the ground is so wet, what’s people’s thoughts on whether it will start to settle after dark?
-
We do actually have a decent snow shower now however everything is so wet nothing is settling
-
I can’t believe just how poor this has been for here, no joke the sun is out now and melted the thin dusting we had and everything is just wet now.

There are police reports of trouble on the horncastle to Louth road, A15 between Lincoln and sleaford and many of the routes to the north of Boston inc partney. All this and it’s the start of a increasingly worsening day according to weather reports.
LO
Hardly anything just south of Boston not even a full dusting

join the club! just been out to throw some grit on the frozen slush from Saturday night's brief covering. what little is left is a bit dodgy underfoot!
Considering I’m literally within spitting distance of the wash, this should be a perfect set up however anything that does fall is so fine it’s more an ice pellet and half the time the radar is showing something over us and nothing falling from the sky

please remember that the radar is slightly behind current time and the showers are flying through at a fair old pace.
by the time the radar says it's above you, it'll probably have already been and gone!
I can assure you nothing has gone through here, we don’t even have a full covering
-
Radar says it should be snowing right now but nothing falling from the sky at all
-
Just the faintest dusting here, absolute rubbish, right next to the wash prime position and showers piling to the north and south of here. Couldn’t make it up.
-
Snowing here but very fine and not settling, just making everything wet

For once I seem to be in the prime spot from tonight through till Wednesday, anyone care to guess what depth we will have come Wednesday 7a.m?
-
Hoping I should be in the perfect spot from this evening through till Wednesday, bring on the wash streamer
-
Zoom in on rain today radar and it’s definitely still moving north, perhaps slowing a little but I think now the northern most point will be somewhere like chesterfield
-
Notice aswel there seems to be some echos breaking out infront of the main band aswel
-
Looking at the radar it seems to be moving north and east still quite quick, I’m right on the north east edge of the forecasted snow fingers crossed it carries on with its north east progression a little longer
-
Do you not think all these graphics of where the snow is and isn't, analysing every single frame is a little much. We are talking 20 miles further north, that could quite possibly happen modelled or not. Just relax and if it snows great, if it doesn't, then move on.

Has nobody bothered to check the radar? Stoke is going to get hit in the next hour and it looks on a direct line towards me.

Can confirm in Kirton 5 miles up the road, it’s “puthering” down... anywhere that’s had snow melt completely covered again and back to a winter wonderland scene, monday was a slow start but ever since it’s really picked up and been excellent, speaking to the mrs who is in Spalding at the minute she says they have had heavy snow this evening aswel
