BFTP
Yes he did - spoke about SSW and the split of the vortex. He then went on to suggest a very cold end to January and for the month of February to be the same.

@Defector , are you using something like ghostery in your browser?
Hi Paul - yes I was but not now! That seems to have solved the issue.

This obviously shouldn't be showing on every page view, is it continuing to happen for people?
Hi,
Yes -this is still happening for me - I have tried clearing my cookies and signing out and then back in.
Driving me nuts!

Lovely storm came over here earlier - looked like a strike over at Timbercombe Hill as well,.Hailstones and rolling thunder
-
Steady light snow now falling and settling here in Charlton Kings Cheltenham.
-
A near static band of rain which is gradually getting heavier, seems to be developing over the south Midlands, while parts of Lincolnshire have had almost 2 inches from this event already.
Definitely the case here

Yes, it looks like we're going to end up with a lot more than was expected (based on assessment of several runs from several models)
Definitely the case here

Big flakes settling nicely.

Snow falling steadily here in Cheltenham
-
Wow - 15cm is a massive fall my my standards!
What is the total depth now?
Which part of the North Cotswolds are you in? Anywhere near Snowshill?
We had about 3cm more snow in Cheltenham overnight and through the day. It's not a nice type of snow. Very icy, and made up of very small flakes.
Hi,
here in Northleach we had about an extra 10cms - quite a surprise this morning!
The Fossebridge road was closed as was the road over Kilkenny & Seevn Springs.
Got the joys of travelling to Stevenage first thing in the morning!

Well - after a lull, heavy snow is now falling here again.
Bit of a Brucie Bonus!

Maybe that's what Ian was hinting at on Rad Gloucs earlier, for next weekend - one of the NW members posted something earlier referring to Ian on Rad Gloucs.
That'll be me then!

AfternoonAll,
Just heard Ian Ferguson on BBC Radio Gloucestershire, and he alluded to the Tues/Weds event - very difficult to call at present. He also mentioned possibilities for the coming end of week/weekend for more snow, but way to far out yet.
Cheers,
Phil.
PS - incase you read this Ian, I hope that's a fair reflection!!
