Hi all. I'll be driving for Tour 2 this year, so look forward to seeing you all there! Plenty of you I've not met before I think!

OK, no probs, thanks Paul - I'll keep an eye on what everyone's doing on the day then. I guess if you're chasing nearby you might not get out until mid-afternoon anyway, so might be able to get back to the hotel before you leave - we'll see

Not essential on those days but definately on the Tuesday as you never know we might have to pick up the last 4 from the Airport and head North, its not a defo we will be staying at the BW on the Tuesday night yet but its almost 100% looking at the 500mb pattern for next week. Could be some Northern Plains action though next weekend.
Yeah, i aim to be back at the rental place at DFW by 3pm tuesday at latest so should be fine?

Myself and Richard will be at the Best Western from Saturday 5th May, the other 2 staff members Andre and Jock will be arriving on Sunday. The cars will be Set-Up over the weekend. If any of you are coming in early we tend to eat next door as others have said at Aspen Creek which has some delicious food and happy hour as well which is a short stumble back to the Hotel. Walmart is next door as well.

Looking forward to it now! I'm heading out on the 6th so I can spend 2 days exploring Dallas/Ft Worth area, before meeting the team at the rental place on arrival day
Nervously looking at models here, and events this week too.
No tornadoes on my last tour in 2016, so everything is crossed!

Looks like Tour 2 are doing well, to say the least! I've had a quick look at the models for the weekend onwards for Tour 3, but I'm no expert. High CAPE and LIs still around into early next week, especially Texas, but welcome more expert opinions
Also, anyone else on flight BA1504 from Heathrow on Saturday morning?

Hi Guys,
Hopefully this is the best place to ask!I was just wondering what everyone normally does regarding backingup/storage of photos/videos? Do you just take lots of memory cards, or do some of you take laptops and HDDs etc?
I don't have a laptop to take, so just considering my options.

Thanks Paul, and yes, structure is what I like to see - something rare in the UK. My perfect storm (visually at least) would probably be an LP supercell twisting itself into a thin updraught after putting out some large hail and maybe a tornado.

I'm on tour 3 this year - it'll be my first time on the Plains and I can't wait! I've been wanting to go for years and I'm very much looking forward to seeing some 'proper' weather.
