Yes that's correct, the Amber region really got hit hard earlier by most reports, leaving the ground and drainage systems extremely saturated. It's by no means an indication that this area will be hit any harder than the surrounding areas.

As quickly as it began it ended over here in North West London, had 10 minutes of heavy rain and some thunder. Sun back out now, think we've probably missed the worst of it.

Was sitting just under that cell as it began in Uxbridge, got 10 minute of heavy rain and a bit of thunder but now stopped and the Sun is back out - think we've missed the worse of that!

Just got very wet and windy for about 10 minutes, gusts of up to 36mph at 8.08am. Now clearing and can see the blue skies appearing overheard. Looks like I'm just on the border of the worst affected areas, confident it won't be too bad where I am fortunately.
