It does seem to be the bit of Kent that juts out into the Channel that gets the worst. My mate up the road from you says pretty much the same thing as you.
Fingers crossed you all stay damage-free down there today.Thank you so much for your kindness

I’m right on the SE coast and its not usual to have rough weather especially not wind but it’s been almost consistent this year. The severity has also seemed to of of changed this year as well. Most storms that have come through have been 60+ . My wash line has been up and down like a yo-yo this year.

When I left for work it was -3. where I am now seems a bit warmer, it’s 0 so it’s either gone up or just a bit better
I was training outside last night, it was an incredible night but oh my god it was cold. I’m pretty good at working in the cold but as you can probably remember I’ve been a bit chilly of late lol. I got home and couldn’t warm up whatever I did, which is pretty unusual, I have had to learn pretty quick how to stay warm in the cold, anyway I laid in bed and shivered for hours. I went to bed extra blankets, clothes, water bottle and wooly hat I looked like the mitchelin man

If that had been rain it would have slammed into our region buttttttt, ooohhhh noooooooo a ruler was put along the snow barrier. I don’t think I’ve seen rain have such a perfect edge before

Have a strange feeling Sundays low, or whenever it comes, won't miss anyone unfortunately.
That’s typical, we always get the rough stuff

Thanks Snowray, fingers crossed for us all!
Temp has now risen from -3.2°C to 1.3°C! Wonder if that's cloud cover? My mum always says temp rises when it's going to snow!
That’s really funny, my grandparents said exactly the same things lol

Anybody checked in on the mid thread. It would be wonderful to see a bit of snow, just enough for a day or so. There have many occasions where they’ve got it so wrong. Maybe this is one probably not but we can hope.

I just looked at the radar, ummmmm. Might be a bit daft and it’s definitely ok for you all to say Sao but, it looks like the rain is just about to collide into the south ummmmmmm

Maybe not such a bright idea.
You can imagine the headlines..
"Thousands stranded as Eurostar cancelled due to blizzards hitting northern France".
It’s probably the first time that all that many people wanted to go there

I'd be happy with just a 20 mile shift north from an IMBY perspective.

There do seem to be a few showers popping up to the east, Chelmsford looks like it’s getting something.

It’s -5 here this morning. So a tad in the chilly side

Thank you so much, it’s just gone very quiet, I thought we were going to have temps of 31. Aren’t we due a storm Sunday ?

I haven’t been on here for a day, does anyone have a clue about Wednesday, keep hearing different stories, my weather apps are saying snow, then not and then back again

The models don’t seem to have a clue what’s going on and that’s their job lol

I love snow and would really like to see some but I have to say the cold that we’ve had the last days has really go into my bones, lol, sounds like I’m eighty years old. If I’m cold and in my thirties what must a ninety year old be feeling? There are families with small children really suffering because of the cold because they can’t afford heating. Most of the week I was sat under a blanket in a jacket while I was working just because I knew the heating would need to be on for my children in the evening and we are all having to cut back. I’m sorry to be a bit morbid but we get excited about the cold and the model thread is now going mad because it looks like it’s a no go but there could be a lot of people elderly that wouldn’t be able to cope nearly 14000 people died last winter.
I’m not trying to preach but I just wish people could see the wider picture, especially on the model thread. I just don’t like how they get so nasty with each other. I will be happy either way, especially if it goes up to 35 degrees and sun.
P.S I really like snow to and get very excited- 1

If we get snow I will be shocked, I’m right on the coast.

Well meteo have upgraded my forecast from rain to sleet now on Wednesday, I guess that’s something

I had to go into the office today which is in Tunbridge wells, it was very light to start with but them it really started to come down around 12pm. it covered roofs quickly, roads just got a bit slushy but not bad at all, all things considering. I was on the train on the way home and snow disappeared as we got closer to Battle, Hastings which was such a shame. I am cold through to my bones now though. i hate being cold.

I was genuinely surprised about how quiet it was here last night, i thought it might have been a lot worse, im of course very thankful for that. I also feel very very sad for the people who lost their lives. We adore the weather but she is very very cruel sometimes
