  1. Here in the North Mildands (Newark) we had some moderate snow during the morning hours, however, snow then stopped with no covering. There was an hour break, then a few flakes started to fall again, however around 20 secs later it was just drizzle, and it stayed like this for hours!

Now we are just starting to see the frontal band arrive, but first signs just show rain looking out my window! Is there ANY chance we could see at least some sleet at the coldest part of the night? e.g. between 12:00-02:00 hours?

  2. Frequent light snow showers here in Midlands, Nottinghamshire. Stopped breifly although our last shower finished 5 mins ago, and there are now dark grey clouds overhead once more. Temp is currently -0.4.

Radar is currently picking nothing up within 100miles from me, what is going on as these aren't rogue showers, some are actually getting quite beefy. :D

What type of precipitation is this going to be once the band from Ireland hits England? As snow is already falling once again, surely it will be snow this evening to...? :D:D

  3. Tremendously dark clouds here now in Newark along with a temp of 1.4C.

1 hour ago there were no clouds in site, but now there is nothing else but them. The bbc are saying that the North and East of the east midlands are going to get this tonight: Frosty in the west. Snow showers becoming locally persistent and heavy across north and east.

I just really hope that the bbc are right about this one, can't wait!
